SAT May 2012 Official Discussion

yup i got 20

Yea 20 and on the 1.67 thing this website says it won’t count: “Grid-ins: answers can’t be negative or greater than 9999. To grid a
decimal answer, enter the most accurate value that the grid will
permit. For example, to grid an answer such as 2/3, you can grid in
2/3, .666, or .667, but not .66 or .67.” - http://www.erikthered.com/tutor/math-strategies.pdf

can anyone describe each section that was experimental… im extremely confused… i cant determine which was experimental…

@kevin
but 1.67 is the most accurate answer since there are only four blanks. right?

@kevin0 , 1.67 is the most accurate. You cannot put down 1.667 or 1.666 because there are only 4 boxes.

Oh yea my bad that will probably work.

bear if you filled in all the boxes it will be correct i think. in kevin’s example .667 used 4 boxes while .67 only used 3

phew, that woulda been dumb to miss it just cause i put a decimal instead of 5/3…

@cong how many of each type of section did you have?

i had 4 critical reading 3 math and 2 writing.

@cong
all i know is that the reading sections with fluoride or the brother performing are experimental

wait… was it 10/3 or 3/10???

3/10 was the answer

Sec 2 was CR Sec 3 CR sec 4 Math (easy) sec 5 Writing Sec 6 CR sec 7 Math Sec 8 CR section 9 Math Sec 10 WR

@cong then you must have had an experimental reading

what was the CR experimental? i never had anything about fluoride in water…

why not 10/3? didnt it ask for years in an inch?

my CR expirimental was about group mentality and sociology experiments

No, it said how many inches in a year!

@Daniel i believe it was how many inches per year… so its 60/200=.3 i had 10/3 at first but then double checked later.
