SAT May 2012 Official Discussion

@bling
it said that 6j was one greater than k^2, not one greater than k^2 +1

i got 1/6 for that too… 0 didnt work you would get the sq root of a -1 right?

@congster123
yea im pretty sure 1/6 is right. 0 is an integer, plug that in for k, and u get 1/6 for j

Wow…alright. So, I missed 2 total on math. Any ideas on curve for math?

so far I missed one in math, probably 770

hey guys for grammar does anyone remember a “find the error” question about a novel and where it took place? something like “blah blah, specifically”
i thought it was a run on but not sure

did you guys put narcissistic and sales for his literature on CR?
also, how about the one with "usually, he became ____ when discussing the movie/review or something

i put narcissistic

@thesmartest yeah i remember that.

@thesmartest I put voluble and cryptic which I’m almost certain is right

I think I put egoist for that one. What was the second choice for narcissistic? The second part for egoist was condemnation

is narcissistic right for the first one? you cant tell if he is talkative though. You are just assuming

@Oscarlany I thought it was ebullient and something else

@oscarlany voluble and cryptic is a different question… but yeah thats right.
and no im certain its narcissistic… condemnation of HIS personal accomplishments wont make sense with egoist…

na condemnation doesnt make sense.sorry

Is it worth studying 2000 flash cards and learning them? I had to skip almost all the vocab because my vocabulary is ******.

I put narcissistic. I don’t remember the other word.

The professor guy was voluble and it said “uncharacteristically” before the second blank. voluble and cryptic are the only ones that contridict eachother.

Are you guys sure about voluble and cryptic?

We’re talking about two different questions. They were:
The normally ______ teacher was _______ during his interview.
Known for being ___, the critic was more concerned for the for his review.
Obviously, these aren’t exact.
