You are so damn prickly. I wish you’d get a life.
Oops, I forgot that what I post in a public Facebook group might show up in my regular feed!
Being tone deaf is when you respond to being told you are tone deaf by saying “I am not tone deaf”.

People who live in glass houses …
Some people just need to give it a rest.
Decided to support a local business. In early December, the store promised delivery on January 15. A month later, not a peep. Thankfully, someone returned my call. The order is on a boat and maybe will arrive by April. No apologies, no offers to refund our money. Just a matter of fact statement that we should be happy it is on the boat.
No wonder people buy stuff from Amazon - it is here in 2 days!!!
Grrr, kicked a hidden rock in the sand on my morning walk. I may have broken a toe. Off to the hobble in (formerly known as “walk in”) clinic for an X-ray after talking with the doc on a zoom call. At least I’m on the tail end of my Maui trip, but still.
The Child will have completed the last 2 big visits to the top colleges on her list in the next 2 weeks. Quit asking her where she’s going. It’s only February. Cool your jets. Give it a rest. It’s a big decision and she’s trying to make the right decision for her. You know, she DOES have 2 1/2 more months left to decide.
Why do doctors wait until 48 hours before the surgery to get prior authorization?! S was scheduled to have nasal surgery for deviated septum on Thursday morning. We made plane, hotel and car rental reservations to fly to be with him for the first few days of recovery since he lives alone. He got a call from the doctor’s office this morning saying Aetna denied it as not medically necessary. He was all prepared, had scheduled it for the only week he could get off work, we were all packed and ready to leave tomorrow morning. Couldn’t they have found this out much earlier? Grrr…
Happy to report toe is not broken but I did get the Maui bacterial infection (boo!) - starting antibiotics. Sooooo happy this didn’t happen at the start of my trip.
Well that’s a crappity bummer. Doctor sent the X-rays to radiology just to be sure. Toe is broken after all. Boo and hiss. Gonna try and find a medical boot tomorrow - little pain at least.
People at work are no fun.
40th Valentine’s Day with my amazing husband. How did that happen?!?
I hope, my love, that you will marry someone who will treat you like your father has been treating me since the day we met.
My MIL will be here for Valentines - yay.
Ugh, here I go again. Getting my hair highlighted by the same lady who has done it for several years. She seems to be the only person who can manage to give me natural blonde highlights, everyone else turns me platinum blonde, red, white, black, I’ve even been fluorescent green (my own fault on that one). My complaint is that although everyone in the shop speaks English well, they choose to speak Vietnamese most of the time to each other, and it’s obvious that they talk about the clients (including me). Someone walks in or leaves, calls, they make a comment and everyone giggles. I’m trying to give them the benefit of the doubt that it’s not something unkind, because they seem like nice people. It’s just become incredibly painful for me to go there, but I don’t have any other option, it seems!
Nothing screams Valentine’s Day like sitting in your office (public building) parking lot and talking to Estate Lawyer about Living Wills and Death, lol. And even weirder is that I saw my nephew and his GF walk by looking like they might be getting married at City Hall.
Very very strange day. I need a nap.
$80 Uber ride on Valentine’s Day evening for something that’s normally $24. Ridiculous!
