I’m fed up with customer satisfaction surveys that pester us with emails, texts and/or phone calls. If we reply with less than perfect scores the local store or dealership or Post Office calls to complain that it’s our fault that they’re in trouble with HQ. As for the most recent one, I don’t care that the person who illegally placed a package in our mailbox was a contract worker and not technically an employee, she still works for you and needs to be better trained. At least this one didn’t leave the package in a puddle next to the driveway like the last one.
Seriously? Leave the freakin hospital alone.
Over the last few weeks I’ve had four separate phone calls…of at least 45 minutes each - with a service provider.
They managed to mess up my auto pay and didn’t send a bill until it was a disconnection threat.
Then they manage to mess up the payment I made on the phone with them - and they disconnected the service.
Then they charged me a reconnection fee.
And…then the dang service didn’t work for another 11 days - because a woodpecker pecked thru the line !!!
And toward the end of each and every phone call the representative got to the part of the script saying … ’ I would like to run thru some additional great programs we have which looks like they would benefit you’. UM … just wow.
You put them and us at risk. I honestly think they’d be better off without you.
I have a little cake next to my college confidential image today. That means go out and buy yourself some nice cake and eat it today - right?
The house is company cleaned, dinner in the crockpot, and now I wait for my D to get home from school and nervously flit around until her first boyfriend comes over for the first time.
Went to International Night at school last night for the last time with my senior. Or as I call it, Progressive Dinner Around The World. Families are all welcome to set up a table with food from their country of origin and some cultural info, maybe an activity to do or a game to play.
We ate food last night from:
Ukraine
Hungary
Namibia
Ethiopia
Japan
Philippines
South Korea
India
Sri Lanka
Bangladesh
Pakistan
France
Italy
Ireland
Greece
Poland
And some others that I’m forgetting right now.
It was chaotic like it is every year. Mobbed with people and children running around like nuts. Song and dance demonstrations that are loud and entertaining and also funny because the students all sort of mumble the words when they’re singing but everybody claps like mad anyway because we all love our kids.
I’m going to miss this after both of my kids graduate.
How did I end up with a kid with such a dislike of change? Hates getting new stuff - hangs on to old stuff until it completely falls apart! Most people would be jumping for joy at a shiny new laptop, but not her.
I absolutely abhor mansplaining!
My niece’s 7 year old has multiple disabilities. He is a growing boy who is unable to walk. He needs a new wheelchair, and it’s not the kind you can buy at the local medical goods store. His doctor ordered the chair through UMichigan Health. Today my niece received a notification that it will be 4-8 weeks before she can expect a call to SET UP an appointment to be fitted … niece says it will likely be at least 16 weeks from the time of the call for the actual appointment. Then it will be months before insurance okays it, months before the wheelchair is completed, and months before a pickup appointment will be available. It’s absurd, and it is yet another challenge in this little boy’s life.
I am really sorry to hear that Capital One is buying Discover. I’ve been with Discover for many years–their customer service has always been a pleasure to deal with, and all their services are customer-friendly and transparent. I have heard nothing but negative things about Capital One. There are so few big companies that seem to care about treating actual people well–sorry to see this one probably gone.
Hahahahahaha! I keep forgetting this is the say it here thread!
This is infuriating. I buy organic oats but will have to rethink my overnight oats breakfast.
I’ve now met the boyfriend and according to my daughter he’s really kind, sensible, smart and a good musician. He seemed like all those things in our short interaction. However, he’s a senior so I asked him about college, he applied and was accepted early for the in state public tech school that has his program, is affordable and he’s happy to attend while waiting until March for his other results my opinion of him shot up dramatically. Either I’m weird or I’ve been on cc too much - or both…
I have a married son!
Today I was using the restroom at Costco, and I heard a phone ring. The woman in the stall next to me not only answered the call while using the toilet, but answered it with the name of a business. She proceeded to talk to what was clearly a customer about business things while she used the toilet (loudly!), and she and 3 other toilets loudly flushed.
Are you really a doctor? You believe that my child’s counselor for over a year and her former pediatrician made up that my kid has ADD? Just because she doesn’t get in trouble at school? Your thoughts are very outdated! WTH!
Poor financial aid staff. The FAFSA roll out has been awful. But I still plan to ask for more money, because everyone does it. But why are they taking so long?
I ask the question repeatedly, in several places and never get an answer. Very frustrating.
