Say it Here ‘Cause You Can’t Say it Directly—The Get it Off Your Chest Thread (NO REPLIES TO OTHER POSTS)

There’s no point in my even having an opinion about it because whatever is going to happen will happen without my input.

I’m thinking that the more pictures a person posts of their wonderful life, the more likely they are to need to be convinced by others that their life is, in fact, wonderful.

Sitting on my front steps playing with my dog, I heard the rural route mailman long before I saw him zooming from one mailbox to another. I wish I knew someone of influence, because I think converting all the USPS trucks to electric would help us towards our climate goals and I think in most places they would be able to run their routes before running out of battery life.

Yesterday I received your picture, via priority mail, with a note from your husband saying that you passed away on June 20.

Words can’t describe how sad I felt. I was shocked, frustrated, and angry that cancer took you, after you beat it, and it came back savagely.

What I love about you is that you got me sewing again. I started to make things with your ideas because my brother passed away from cancer and it helped me by being therapeutic.

I am still continuing my sewing because there’s such a need out there for that pattern you had sent. I’ve made hundred of items for women with cancer.

I’m just sorry that you couldn’t use the last ones I sent. But your husband says he’s going to get those out, along with the chemo caps that I sent to you.

I am so sorry to hear about your fighting cancer again. I know you were really ill. Cancer sucks! I’m tired of hearing people passing away from cancer. You were the most lovely person in high school- very quiet, very sweet not very talkative but meaningful when you had something to say.

Thanks for helping a lot of people; you are going to be missed.

Why are people so selfish? Zipping around on an electric bike on a dirt road lined with cottages, where people have walked in groups for decades … the bike rider needs to watch for people. But four people were almost hit this morning in three separate incidents. SMH.

You wanted a little more challenge…and somehow found yourself in the eye of the storm. And, what a storm…

Drove kid home from work. Stopped at Circle K for snacks by our house. Saw pack of teenagers hanging outside at 10:50 pm. Got back in car after procuring snacks. Kid said, “You know…it’s kind of trashy to hang out at the Circle K on a Friday night. I mean, only stupid teenagers and drunk people are hanging out at a gas station convenience store at 11 pm.” And…she’s not wrong.

And then I high 5’d my kid for having the common sense to recognize that.

Folks, change your Ticketmaster passwords (and any other account using the same password, even though none of us here would do that lol.)

My friends’ account was hacked today and all his tickets sold, proceeds sent to a debit card (in control of the perps). Ticketmaster said they will make him whole but maybe not including getting the exact tix back.

What a mess!

I’m shocked and stunned at how much this feels like the end of August and beginning of July in 1974.

I must really be old. It’s been 50 years?
