Two DAYS on the phone with insurance to tell me the copay is $20 -not $175 as I was told yesterday, or 20% (of WHAT I ask) I was told today.
And no, I can’t find the answer on page 59 of the benefits book as that is about tests done in an inpatient mental health facility! I may be heading to such a facility after talking to several of your customer service reps, but I’m not planning on going to one just for a test that they can do in my doctor’s office.
After all that, I decided I’m not even willing to pay the $20, because that’s just the first of 4 tests they want me to take ‘just to make sure’. I’ll save my $80 to $100 and the $30 copay to discuss the negative results with the doctor. I read the tests, they say ‘normal.’ To me that means no more tests needed.

My neighbors live social security paycheck to social security paycheck, no savings. His SS check was just garnished for nonpayment of a Covid small business loan that he didn’t take out. They are getting it straightened out, but they are short on money until it’s fixed. I swear, every time they turn around, something sets them back.

I moved from NJ to MA. It has taken me over a month to schedule my regular mammogram and bone density screening. The rules are different in this state. Everybody I have spoken to in every doctor’s or radiology office has been not been helpful. I can’t get the tests together at the same time and place, they won’t do routine ultrasound breast screenings at all, and they are booked out 9 months in advance. The entire process has been crazy.

The DMV (driver’s license renewal) locally are like robots, possible not human. The way they talk and the way they act.
Also the vision problem I have is nothing new - I was born with it and have driven safely with it for 40 years. It is technically a disability - don’t treat me like I’m a delinquent for a health issue I was born with and that no other DMV for the past 40 years has had a problem with!

Why don’t people who are going to the theater remember that there will be people seated behind them, so they probably shouldn’t put their hair up in a 5-6” braided bun. Fortunately the seats are tiered enough in this theater that it shouldn’t be a big problem with today’s show, but still …….
And the person next to me is, shall we say, occupying more than just their seat and leg space. Good thing I am small.

Theater follow- up: person next to tall bun hair lady was checking things on his phone multiple times during the show. Wish people realized how distracting that is to the patrons behind them!

First day of fall. Rained more than it has all summer. Had to go around shutting the windows. Of course, it will be back to 90 degrees on Thursday so I’ll have to reverse it all.

40 family members in my house this weekend for a family event. It hasn’t rained here since August 7th…
The rain started on Thursday. It’s still raining. Had to move everything indoors, if a few more people had shown up it would have been a big problem, lol.
Curse you, weather gods!!!
It all worked out though, except well be eating leftovers for the next week

Dear Parent I Know,
Can’t believe you actually said what you did. Your values and mine are really different from each other on that topic. Guess what? What you want your kid’s college to do is discriminatory and against the law. The issue your kid is having with the suitemate is because the suitemate is behaving like a royal butthole. Nothing more, nothing less. Some people are just Grade A Buttholes. Jerks. Doo Doo Heads. Has NOTHING to do with the thing you think it does.

The amount of frustration involved in changing to the new iPhone.
Husband somehow has 2! Apple ID’s. One for the phone and one for the App Store. The App Store ID is now locked out for 7 days.
Here’s hoping we can get this resolved on September 27!

Oh, my gosh, I ordered a keyboard because my old one played out. To my surprise, there are THREE keys to the right of “L,” rather than two. So the Enter key is farther to the right than standard. How many keyboards have I used in my life, and I have NEVER seen this. Ugh. I’m going to have to retrain my brain or send it back.
