Say it Here ‘Cause You Can’t Say it Directly—The Get it Off Your Chest Thread (NO REPLIES TO OTHER POSTS)

My cousin’s son is nonverbal autistic, with some additional health challenges that have put him in a wheelchair. They moved to Florida a number of years ago in order to get him into a living community where he will thrive as they age. He just turned 39, and they finally got him into a wonderful living situation. I’m so happy for all of them!

I meant I would watch the pets if your work travel overlapped, NOT that I would watch your pets for 2 weeks or more while you each go with the other person for the work trip…

Why would you assume that my wife doesn’t know how to use a tape measure?

And by the way, I’ve seen you (try to) back up a trailer and she’s a lot better than you are.

I can’t get a mammogram because I need a referral from the PCP. My PCP is booked months out. Just screw this. I don’t have family history… I can’t predict what my schedule would be like in 6-7 months!

No wonder women don’t get diagnosed with BC early enough. My sympathies to the women who discovered a lump and want to get it checked…

We had dinner with DH’s BF and his wife on Wednesday. On Saturday, BF had a heart attack. 100% blockages, five stents. Lucky, lucky, lucky to be here. We drove down to MA yesterday to keep them company at Lahey where he continues to undergo further monitoring and testing to determine how much heart damage he sustained. Seeing him and DH hug brought huge tears. We are all just so grateful for the speed of the EMTs and the care he is receiving, but this has really shaken all of us up. BF is not overweight, has been on a plant-based diet for years, leads a very physically active life, and has always appeared to be in great physical shape. He turns 66 this Saturday.

We’ve decided to extend our season in Maine to spend more time with them and celebrate a sober but deeply grateful Thanksgiving together.

I don’t dislike football. I actually enjoy watching college games.

But I am tired of it being on ALL THE TIME. Thursday night, Friday night, all day Saturday, all day Sunday, Monday night…and H has to watch all of it.

I returned to my alma mater today for the first time in decades. I was saddened to see the decline in areas where I lived, shopped and ate. We drove through the apartment complex where I lived for several years, and it isn’t a place I would ever consider living today. On the other hand, the school itself has undergone really positive changes. It was a day of nostalgia, with some happy and some sad moments.

Just got back from getting my flu shot at my grocery story pharmacy. Although the store has relocated, many of the employees and customers moved with it, including me. I spent some time talking to one of my fave pharmacy techs. We caught up on our kids. Her son, who I remember being in the military, has given her two grandkids, and she asked after my two.

I love my village. And i love that one thing I inherited from my mom is the ability to talk to absolutely anyone anywhere about anything.

You know, sometimes you are really mean. I’m not sure why you think it’s so funny to “torture” me as you put it with bits of information you volunteer but then refuse to discuss. Let me know when you’re ready to treat me like a human being with feelings.

We love major league baseball at our house, especially last night. Our San Diego Padres clinching a playoff spot with a bottom of the 9th triple play against the Dodgers in LA. It doesn’t get much sweeter for us Padres fans!

Really, Airbnb owners? You post a house as available but then back out? This isn’t the first time it’s happened. This house was right around the corner from my sister’s house and was so perfect. :frowning: The guy messaged me that he needs to update the calendar and I let him know that would be a good idea.

Dear Apple Store
I ordered wired headphones for our new iPhone that you changed the charging port on so I need new ones.

I decided to order a case for my new phone just because.

What I didn’t know was that each item would be shipped separately and that I WOULD HAVE TO SIGN FOR $16 HEADPHONES!!!

So here I sit waiting for the UPS delivery, which could tell me that they will be here before 7pm!

I honestly didn’t think this year could get any worse, but it has. I would like the universe to know that I’ve had enough.

Picking extremely rare issues, presenting them as the norm and using them to spread fear is not honest.

Ugh - her job may be in jeopardy. She loves this company, I hope she can stay (maybe by finding another role).

It is like a constantly moving target. I finally got all our insurance coverage set and the premiums to autopay, since my husband turns 65 this month. Now, I have to do open enrollment for 2025 and begin all over again!

7 years cancer free - my mammogram showed some red flags in the opposite breast yesterday. I hyperventilated for about 5 minutes, then cried and raged. Getting ready to schedule follow up imaging. I just told my H hat I don’t know if I can do it all again. It’s just so horrible a journey.
