Ughhhh, my Medigap Plan D Prescription plan was dropped for 2025 and a replacement offered, not as good. I don’t think officially the details come out until Oct 7 but I rcvd my Medicare 2025 book from US Health & Human Services that gives me the availability and pricing, looks like a lot of the Plan Ds have been dropped. Formulary can be checked after Oct 7 I believe. I just want to pick mine and stick with it. I don’t like having to shop every year - it’s confusing.

Some good news in our neighborhood. Younger S/GF have been planning to move to NOVA (from MA) at the end of the year. Today, they were approved for the lease on their new apartment - in Older S’/FDIL’s building! And coincidentally, friends of younger S’ GF moved into the same building over the summer.

H & I are very excited about this. It will make visiting much easier! And now they will each have someone to dog sit if they go away for the weekend, etc.

We’ve been cleaning the house for a week, for a big family visit coming up tomorrow morning. My husband decides that this evening is the time to put sealant all over the kitchen floor, so now we can’t walk on it for four hours. My groceries are on the counter, all the flowers I bought, can’t get to the microwave, and the kitchen is a mess, and we can’t walk on the floor. Four hours. What was he thinking?:see_no_evil::open_mouth:

Tailgating is bad. Driving with high beams in heavy traffic is also bad. Tailgating in heavy traffic with high beams is beyond bad. How did these people get their license?

Getting courses from ride with gps onto my Garmin bike computer should not take hours of effort - All hardware is new and up to date, AND I had help for 20ish year olds.

If you haven’t seen it, check out the piece on CBS Sunday Morning about Finland teaching kids to identify fake news and scams. The focus on critical thinking skills is fabulous, and it will serve students well in their lives.

Dear friend. You are so sweet and kind-hearted. It is so hard to watch your obnoxious, self-absorbed, narcissistic spouse mistreat you and those around him. We missed you last night at our monthly event and hope you are feeling better, but he, typically, showed up late and blocked several people in with his car. Then, when one couple politely asked him to move his car so they could get out and tend to their large, very old and fragile dogs who needed to go out, he refused to move his car until the football game was over. Sorry but he is such a jerk. You deserve better.

We’re nowhere near the areas impacted by the hurricane, but Verizon is not working. I have a bunch of things I wanted to do today, but most involve online stuff that requires a code texted to my phone … and I’m not getting any texts. It’s a small inconvenience in the scheme of things, but I’m glad nothing I planned to take care of is time sensitive.

Two cross country trips (one to Hawaii from east coast) within weeks hardly seems like “100% work from home.”

It is extremely inconsiderate to organize a meeting at 8 am when more than half of the attendees are probably just waking up… because it is 5 am or even earlier where they are located!! Please don’t be shocked if some will be Zooming into the meting in their pajamas and half awake.

Hertz Car Rental, you rented me a car with preexisting damage. Upon realizing the problem I immediately called and was told I could exchange the car or continue driving it, and that the problem was now noted in the record.

Now, out of the blue, seven months later, you are threatening sending a collection agency after me. Now I’ve spent several hours on this over the past couple days and hit dead end after dead end.

Your contract calls for mandatory arbitration, and provides that you’ll pay all the administrative costs, which far exceed the amount in dispute.

Are you really going to spend $2000 to pursue a $500 claim that you’ll probably lose?

Huh, I always thought you were a slimy lay preacher and now I discover that you have a criminal record. But boy, I’m a sinner because I wear shorts and drink alcohol. So glad I escaped that church at 22…

I cannot wait until the election is over so that I don’t have to hear any more of these awful political ads (at least until the next election).
