Thank you, Neighborhood Facebook page for someone posting that they give out non-candy. I could then add that we give out full-size candy bars and still had too many left and wanted them gone as some seem to be jumping into my mouth. All of a sudden we were the most popular house in the neighborhood, with some kids coming back two and three times hallelujah! almost all the candy is now gone. Except we squirrel away the ones I like the best.
** eta- word must have spread- we just had a big group of older “kids” at almost 10 pm! I had already brought in the light up Pumpkins and turned the front hall light off!
Please don’t forget his birthday. It’s bad enough you won’t make time to see him or your grandson at Tgiving. (But expected! and grandson never expected it! Because you’ve never bothered before!) Please don’t forget his birthday, too.
We never have trick or treaters at my small condo complex. I made a quick trip over to D’s house to see those sweet grands before they headed out to trick or treat and I got the best treat of all when 2 year old GS squealed my grandma name and came running to give me a hug around the knees! Kindergarten GD turned it into a learning experience by counting her candy haul when she got home - she got 64 pieces of candy. If her parents didn’t impose some discipline on that, it would all be gone in 24-48 hours because she loves sugar!
Finally! Thank you - 3 years of regressive play is enough! Now find someone worth a hoot that isn’t someone’s Sunday School teacher or hot tub buddy!!!
My DD’s lease includes hot water, so please finally fix her water heater! The water ranges from cold to tepid and she has emailed you, the property manager, several times already! It’s not enough to promise to take care of it. Do it!
