I just found out my neighbor who has 52 cousins and who is expecting baby #3 can’t wait to have many more. (scary) She has her hands full with two.
Meanwhile I’m worried about the financial and educational costs for raising my one kid.

Dear adult children,
I am watching all of your changes with great interest and I am your biggest supporter (sometimes literally). I am particularly delighted that you can figure out how to look for an apartment, make sure the apartment accepts cats, apply to grad school, change jobs, bring the cat to the vet, get the car repaired, go on vacation, get someone to cat sit, form important new relationships, introduce your cat to your partner’s dog etc etc etc, all without my having to do anything other than offer sage advice. Most gratifying. Will attempt to be as detached once - if - grandchildren become part of the equation.
It’s one thing to have a mosquito spraying business and post signs in the yards of your clients who happen to be my neighbors. But to have the sign have in huge letters “Warning :Zika Virus” … it’s a bit much.
