It’s not my place to have opinions about whether you have made the right life decisions, it is my job to support whatever decisions you make and wish the best for you. But just between me and my CC friends, I think the decision to move to Austin from Houston last month was a good one.

I don’t think Airline staff in general are as helpful as they used to be. How hard is it to hear “black coffee?” You asked me multiple times what I ordered for my drink. Then when I went back to the galley to ask for a snack that had been offered, you acted like I was persona non grata and wouldn’t even look up from your salad.
Flying ain’t what it used to be, but I guess I can just count myself lucky that I wasn’t dragged off the flight. But still, don’t then act all chummy chummy when I deplane and pretend you were helpful saying “Thanks for choosing _____.” If I had another choice, I probably woudn’t choose you again.
High school was not the greatest or worst time of my life. However, I will be so glad when I am done with being a high school parent. Teachers, coaches, and the way the kids treat each other just makes me weary.

Awesome weekend. Dropped sophomore D off at college and she was as happy as a clam. Then DH and I went to a resort for a few days. As I was lounging by the pool, my phone rang and it showed D’s name. Scared me to death because she NEVER calls and rarely texts. To my relief, she just wanted to tell us she’d gotten a job at the art gallery on campus!

Dr. P, thank you for saying what needed to be said today. DH, thanks for coming along to this appointment. It shouldn’t have to take someone else saying it to you, but I hope you absorbed every word the doc said and act accordingly in future. Dr. P validated everything I’ve been saying for years.
And there’s nothing like demonstrating systemic medical fragility by a tooth falling apart while sitting in the doctor’s office! (long term chemo side effect)
On the day that verified code for Springsteen Broadway to come out is not the time for my phone to “die.”
My iphone went dead as soon as the code came out. Tried everything to bring it back up. Ticketmaster was not open yet, so couldn’t get them to email it to me. Had to run over to the closest Apple store. Lucky for me, it came back up after a hard reboot.
Oh, my sweet little pup, this is such a hard decision. Thank you for giving me a sign that you are ready. I will find the strength to help you.
You know, when I share with you about a medical problem I am having and you respond about your own health problems, making absolutely no mention of mine, that really hurts. It’s really self-centered. Especially after I have tried to be so caring and sympathetic about all you have gone through.
Why is it so hard for you just to say, “I’m sorry for what you are going through”?
