<p>I’m applying SCEA to Stanford too.</p>
<p>If I get in, I’ll apply to MIT and Princeton.</p>
<p>If not, those in addition to Cornell, Columbia, Carnegie Mellon, Brown, maybe Duke.</p>
<p>^ My list is almost identical to coolg’s. I’m trying to finish before the 15th coz I’ll be so depressed after being rejected I won’t wanna work on other apps.</p>
<p>bigmrbig - yeah I’m applying to USC on 12/11 to meet the Merit Deadline…
but before that I really need to get my stuff together for this Friday… aka tomorrow to meet the BU merit deadline…agggghhh and then I found out my comp. lost half my essay last night so I freaked out. Now I’m just trying to keep myself from completely losing it…</p>
<p>and BTW my best friend who’s applying to Princeton tells me that the Princeton ED kids are competing with us for the biggest/longest Early thread…

<p>I’m glad we find out on a Friday. Then I can have the weekend to let whatever the news is sink in. A parent on this forum said that her daughter found out on Dec 11…does anyone know if Stanford will send decisions before Dec 15?</p>
<p>oh! what an unfortunate thing! i just read the first sentence of my long stanford essay while trying to find its word count… and was like ugh… bah lol. I wasnt too pleased. Thats why i never re read my essays after i submit them.</p>
<p>Considering i started the essays 1 week before the deadline. I think im going to start my personal statement much earlier. I’ve already been planning it for around 3 months. Know exactly what im going to write about and specific details but havent started</p>
<p>mm I need to start working on my other private school essays. which will be, pretty much, tweaked from Stanford essays once again. (:</p>
<p>i know i have to work on my other college apps but i’m really not feeling it right now. Dec 15th is christmas for me. if i open up my presents and i get a lump of coal (aka rejection) i’m going to write apps and essays like crazy.</p>
<p>omg i almost had a heart attack after reading my essay. It was so poorly written, but i forgot it was my rough draft.</p>

<p>for the rest of my applications, it seems the only new essays i’ll have to write are the “why did you choose this school” essay, and the “why did you choose this major” essay</p>
