<p>i agree with sewcurious.</p>

<p>bump…</p>

<p>Can I still post even though I’m a junior?!?! :)</p>

<p>Academic interests: environmental biology
What you’ll do if you get into Yale: change my buddy icon, update my xanga, myspace, and facebook, put up an away message, prolly make a new sn, call up my college buddy (haha yeah we’re sad) and start crying on the phone, drive around aimlessly with my yale shirt on, go to yale over the weekend and buy tons of yale memorabilia…
Your catch: leadership, Governor’s School (well, only nominated so far…), possibly research, possibly USABO finalist (hey, I can dream, can’t I?)
Why you want to go to Yale: I first fell in love with it on a campus tour back in middle school when my sister was looking at colleges. All I really remember was the really coold tour guide, the idea of the “shopping” period was pure genius, the residential college system (which was so appealing!), and that it was cold. A couple years later I learned that not all colleges are the same, what Ivies were, and how good of a school Yale was (I was flabbergasted to say the least).
Where you’d LOVE to study abroad: London, Melbourne (hometown!)
Expected response to going off on your own: What comes before Part B?
Fears about Yale: I’ll miss my family and the familiarity of NJ. I don’t plan on missing neither my friends nor my high school (I’ve known pretty much the same people since first grade). Maybe the community itself. Maybe DRIVING.</p>

<p>Gah. I hope I’m not setting myself up for failure. I’m emotionally attached. :(</p>

<p>NO GET OFF THE FORUM JUNIOR. Haha jk one love, u boosted Yale up in the CHYMPS thread so u can chill w/ us. Don’t worry, I was just like u last year, just keep dreamin. By the way, what kinda research u interested in, I do biochem research which is awesome and kicks ass. And this question goes to all the researchers on this forum applying to Yale.</p>

<p>Anything I can get, really. A mentorship at Princeton, Rutgers, Rider, or TCNJ might be too much of a hassle during the school year so I’m going to try asking my AP bio teacher. He doesn’t have a lab or anything, but he can order materials and is pretty knowledgeable about experimental techniques.</p>
