School open on Sunday Oct 9th for Visit in CT or MA

Hello, is there any school that is open on Sunday for a visit in CT or MA on Oct 9th?
Not for interview, but just for short informal tour around the school.
Thanks.

Most schools have an open campus whereby you could visit on your own and walk around campus. I can’t think of any schools where there is an admissions office or formal tours given on a Sunday.

^ Agree with @doschicos. No tours on Sundays unless it is an Open House kind of event. But please remember that while you can walk around campus or attend a public performance, you should not be wandering into classroom buildings, dorms, dining hall…that is not appropriate. Keep in mind that the campus is truly home to a community of faculty, staff and students. While it may be an open campus, good manners are important. This is not the same as wandering around a college campus on your own. People will notice you and will likely approach you to ask if you need help, who you are there to visit, etc. Admissions staff really don’t like prospective families wandering around on their own. There are guidelines and a process around visits.

Thanks @doschicos I knew about the admission office not opening on Sunday. Just want to go around the school and feel the environment of the school on a Sunday.

Thats the word I was trying to look for @cameo43 . An Open House Event on Sunday of Oct 9th? If its official we will rsvp to the school to attend since we are free and available. Thanks for the heads up, for sure we will not wander other peoples property without notifying at least someone. At least not without an appointment or write our name in the security book somewhere before walking around…

Have you considered boarding school fairs? I remember the year my son applied, he dragged us to a boarding school fair that was being held at a private middle school about an hour away from us. I was surprised when I got there to see booths setup for about 40-50 boarding schools. Each of the booths had the admissions officer. There were very few students who showed up. This is a good way to know more about a school. He even got to speak to several admissions officers that he would later meet for a formal interview.

These fairs are often held on the weekends. A lot of the schools will publish the admissions officers travel schedule on their website. Just scan each of the schools and see if there are any big boarding school fairs being held that day.

Good luck

Excellent suggestion @sgopal2 will look for the fair or equivalent event on the 9th. Thnx.
