I am in NYC, so our grade is by percentage, however I will also put my converted score to GPA by using an online chart by one college. I think I didn’t start strong, nor did I end strong, since I could have done much better. I was missing some of my work however for my classes.

I am now a **Sophomore/b starting this september. So here is my grade for 9th grade.

97.58% - First Semester (3rd rank)
99.85% - Second Semester (1st rank)

I was furious that I haven’t gotten the highest grade first semester, so it gave me the drive for second semester. However, I could have gotten a 100%. Which was pretty sad for me. Only for one class :(

Here is a breakdown my of grades by class. These are the classes that count in my report card. I will not include Phys Ed. All my classes were honors/or AP

AP World History (AP Class) - 96% (Highest score in the class, and my teacher grades all three marking periods, so it gets ever harder when he grades the classes)
Beginner Band - 100% (everyone who starts new instruments go to Concert Band. I aced the test, so my sophomore class will be Symphonic band).
Concert Band - 100%
English 9 Honors - 92% (My lowest grade. My teacher grades extremely hard. My god I was still happy I had this, since he grades so hard)
WRT PROC2H (Honors) - 92% (This is the writing version of my english class, so basically whatever I get in English goes here too, and it coutns in our grade )
Spanish I - 100%
Geometry (Honors) - 96% (Pretty hard class for me, since math isn’t my thing. However I got the highest score on my regents in the whole school)
INDMTHSKLS - 95% (This is my second side math class, however not my real one. In NYC you are required to have two classes, basically one real class and one side class)
Living Environments (Honors) - 99%
CCNA Discovery 2 (Comp class) - 100%

Unweighted GPA - 4.0 (97% is a 4.0) Weighted GPA - 4.x (99.85% is a 4.0, but maybe higher)

I totally messed up my first semester, because I thought I could just coast and still maintain a 4.0, cause that is what I’ve always done, since school doesn’t provide an academic challenge for me. So I ended up with a 3.833.

My second semester grade was a 3.95, thanks to a week of absences for having pneumonia in gym that my teacher didn’t let me make up.

My cumulative GPA is 3.906. If all goes according to plan, this should be 3.95+ by the end of sophomore year.

Weighted, my semester one GPA was 97.9167 and semester two was 100.83. Cumulative weighted GPA is 99.2125.

Next year, I’ll be a sophomore and am shooting for a 4.0 both semesters.

I took Honors Bio, Honors English I, Geometry, Spanish II, Health (one semester) and PE the next semester, and Beginning Acting.

End of junior year:
4.0 UW
4.82 W
Our school doesn’t do rankings, but I’m pretty sure I’m #1 'cause I’m #1 for indexed GPA, which is used to determine valedictorian status. Life is good.

Basically, my school categorizes people into deciles 'cause it’s more helpful for students who aren’t top 5 to get into good colleges. Makes sense, but I’m still curious…

LOL, well we actually worked hard, we deserve to brag, however sad and futile it may be… I managed to keep my 4.0 uw somehow. Precalc and physics were the death of me! I studied my ass off in both classes at the very end in order to get 92.56 and 92.61… Both of those are barely A’s… I’m so lucky they recently changed the grading scale so that a 93 is an A instead of a 94.

Unweighted is a 4.0 forme.
Weighted: 5.7333 (Straight from my school’s grade management system)

For some reason, my school calculated weighted GPAs on 6 point scale, rather than the traditional 5. I get some relatively odd looks when I tell people my GPA due to that. Also, my AP World class was a bit of a joke (though not bad at all) compared other stories I hear. It really just an hour long class on plundering and exploration, and the philosophies behind it. We just “philosophized.” We also didn’t have finals, and watched “The Social Network” during our last week. I honestly don’t know how I was prepared for the AP exam itself.
