I am applying to the Sciences Po campus in Rheims, could anybody that is studying there (or at another sciences po campus) maybe tell me about the school? and it would be great if somebody had some application tips!
It’s the largest science po campus and many professors who teach in Paris come because it’s not far by bullet train so the teaching is pretty good. Still, if French schools are used to colleges with 200 or 500 students, for people from North America it feels small.
There’s a lot of ‘formatting’ (the way you write, in particular) as, unlike in the US, no one cares about your reaction to what you read.
The academic level is very high and a good handle on autonomous learning is required to succeed. You’ll be in class almost all day long and will have lot of reading to do. If you’re used o IB or ever had five or six AP 's you can handle it though.
