<p>I am just wondering. The master/phd schools are not uniform. I am interested in computer science, and there is a school of computer science for carnegie mellon, but for example the computer science master is in the school of engineering at stanford. Am I overlooking something, or are there just different graduate programs at different schools?</p>
<p>Different schools arrange things differently. That’s part of what makes different programs different. It lets them have a different philosophy on how the department should be run and what sort of focus it should have.</p>
