My daughter was denied nursing. 4.48 GPA, 4.23 CSU GPA, 1240 SAT, local San Diego Resident.
Just got rejected for nursing. 32 ACT, 4.16 GPA. There go my chances of going to school in CA.

Still pending at SDSU. Undeclared bachelor of arts, with a 4.1 weighted GPA and 26 ACT. Nervous about my test score. I’m wondering if applying undeclared may have affected my chances? I really need this school!!

@Cat420 and @madelyn333, all majors at SDSU are impacted including Undeclared. You are competing against all applicants that applied for Undeclared only so it really depends upon how you are ranked against all the other Undeclared applicants (EI). Last year there was 4470 applicants for Undeclared and 1916 accepted making it a 43% acceptance rate which is higher than many majors such as Biology 34% and Psychology 31% which were also very popular majors.
No decision means no decision so hang in there…
@rocknix I definitely think it’s worth a try to appeal based on the dramatic change in your life with your Dad’s illness. The committee should be aware that this was going on, as it also shows a definite resilience on your part to continue on at school despite that. Good luck! I truly hope you get into a school that will be a good “fit” and where you will be happy!

My D said her friend who is in local service area and had already received the full-tuition merit scholarship was waitlisted for Nursing.
