People are still waiting to hear back from CSUN and CSUF. They were told they might not get a decision until after April 15 so it is delaying some students from committing to a college. There is still hope for people who are waitlisted.

My knowledge is not first hand, but we had the good fortune to talk to a number of students when visiting this week, and they all insisted that Greek life is not essential and not as pervasive as the reputation. We met a lot of serious students who were happy to be there and thriving. They indicated you could make friends in many ways. My daughter was worried about the same thing and got satisfied that she could find her niche.
@gothic82 and others- Yo, I opened up a new thread- SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY- SDSU CLASS OF 2022 ADMITTED STUDENTS!
Feel free to post
does anyone know if/when WHC decisions will ckme out?
Are there any good resources other than the SDSU website about the living communities? S18 is trying to determine the best fit to list preference. He is a business major.
@biscuit4reggie check out the housing email they would have received and it has a link to the housing website with brief descriptions of the communities. http://housing.sdsu.edu/student_success/living_communities/
wow, annie2000- can’t believe you were denied with high GPA like that. Are you a transfer student? If so, from a CC?
hey can someone please link the sdsu thread from last year?
is there any difference between pre-civil engineering and civil engineering?
@AAA080: At SDSU are placed in a pre-major and you need to take the pre-req courses and maintain a specific GPA to qualify for the major before you are allowed to take upper division courses.
Impacted Program
The civil engineering major is an impacted program. To be admitted to the civil engineering major, students must meet the following criteria:
a. Complete with a grade of C (2.0) or better: Aerospace Engi- neering 200 [or Mechanical Engineering 200]; Chemistry 202 (or 200); Mathematics 150, 151; Physics 195, 196. These courses cannot be taken for credit/no credit (Cr/NC);
b. Have an overall cumulative GPA of 2.7.
To complete the major, students must fulfill the degree require-
ments for the major described in the catalog in effect at the time they are accepted into the premajor at SDSU (assuming continuous enrollment).
committed today!
go aztecs
Does anyone know anything about the finance major / financial services major? I am considering switching from actuarial sciences to financial services just because the business school is so good at SDSU and I want to take advantage of it.
Can anyone tell me if you have to upload the transcript online or ur high school has to send the transcript when u pay $400 to commit?
They are separate transactions. One isn’t dependent on the other but they both need to be done by 5/1. As far as transcript request - you have to request with your high school and with any community college (such as for dual enrollment courses) to have them each submit electronic transcripts directly to SDSU.
I agree it was a little confusing when my D did this last night.
@SmartGurl17 you high school needs to send it either electronically or in a sealed envelope
have all transfers decisions been decided
Can anyone explain how you super score your ACT when filling out the CSU application? Do you input all your test scores and they super score it for you? When calculating your EI, do you use your super score composite? Thank you!
