DS got accepted early to CPP and SDSU in Computer Engineering. Can anyone give me an input which one has a better computer engineering program? Also, is it possible to minor in CS later? My understanding is CS at both schools are not in Engineering Dept. DS is going to focus on robotics (programming) or cybersecurity/network security for industrial or defenses.
I have twins that applied. One was admitted in December for Pre-Biology Zoology, and her admission status date shows 12/18/20. Her sister is still pending for Pre-Business Administration Real Estate, and she has an application status date of 10/7/20.

You can check the 4 year plan for Computer Engineering for each school and then the requirements for a CS minor to see if there are any overlap classes along how many free electives are available to fit in the minor.

@Caperry03: There is a housing waiver you can fill out but most are not granted unless you have extenuating circumstances that require you to live off-campus.
My son sent me screenshot. I don’t see any “Application Status Date”.
I see “Admission Status Date: March 11, 2021”
He found out he was admitted when he checked his portal on 3/11 around 5:30pm

We are trying to figure out which one has stronger Computer Engineering program? I just feel like I can’t rely on the ranking. DS doesn’t care about the location of school.
Both schools are ABET accredited for Computer Engineering so their curriculum will be similar. I do not have any personal experience in regards to the CE programs. but both are good options academically but each will present a different campus/student life experience. I would say he should go with his gut and where he feels most at home.
From looking at previous years forum it is waitlist then rejections. I have a feeling there are more acceptances coming but that is only based on the amount of students that I know that haven’t heard and the small amount of admitted posts in this page.
Yes, I’m sorry it does say “Admission Status Update.” My daughters changed from October 20, 2020 to March 12, 2021 but her status still says ‘pending.’ Really hoping for good news tomorrow!

My D is pre-liberal studies. Her portal changed admission status to 3/12/21 but her status still says pending.
Did it change like just now or it changed on march 12?
My D’s status still shows 11/26/20! I guess no news is good news.

Is it a good or bad thing if the admission status date is a different date than when you submitted it? Mine is pending and still the same date for when I submitted my application.

We didn’t notice when it changed…we were always looking at the status line not the date. I assume it changed on March 12th.
Has anyone accepted received an email? idk why it’s so important to me, i guess j finalizes everything . LOL!
