I’ll ask again: how much can your family afford per year for college? Even if you do receive a full merit scholarship, which isn’t easy, there are costs: mandatory health insurance, travel, spending money, etc.
As an international student, the number of hours you work on campus is very very limited, and will not pay for a significant portion of your college costs. Even adding that to $10,000 from your parents will probably not even cover room and board, which is far less costly than tuition and fees.
So…it sounds like you are looking for a very large amount of aid from a college here to be able to attend.
The elite schools that meet full need would work IF you got accepted. But your current SAT score doesn’t quite meet their admission bar.
@tsbna44 knows some of the guaranteed merit scholarships at the schools you have listed. I’m not sure any will financially meet your family limit. But maybe I’m wrong.
Are there no affordable colleges in your home country? I’d suggest starting there. Once you complete your studies in the U.S. (if you do) you will likely be required to return to your home country. So…maybe doing some research into affordable options there would be a good idea.
Also, please remember, you will need to add the costs of international travel, and health insurance to your costs to attend college in the U.S. Merit awards don’t usually pay for these.
