<p>One english assignmemnt I have as a freshman is to write a thesis paper on anything I want.</p>
<p>I’m wondering how to get ideas on what to write. I enjoy science and I could write a great paper for bio or chem…but english…I’m afraid it will come out too scientific. :S</p>
<p>How do you select an appropriate english thesis topic?</p>
<p>This past year (freshman), we had the same thing. It was our first thesis paper, and we were told that we could have out topic based on anything that dealt with literature. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, but i decided to just randomly search things on wikipedia about Shakespeare. (I have many of his works and I enjoy reading them). What I ended up finding was a little fact on wiki about someone who had influenced him, and I wrote about that and proved it to be true. </p>
<p>Your case is a little different, in the fact that you can write about anything you want, but you can still do basically the same thing. Just search wikipedia for whatever you’re interested in, look for a little fact that is a possibilty for you to prove, and then prove it in a paper.</p>
