I don’t see how anyone could stop you from PMing some people and starting a Skype convo or something.

Yeah u can of course. That’s the point of this site.

When are you guys going to start studying for it?

not for a while

I will probably start like September I will be taking a lot of stuff so I don’t want to leave it for last minute. I also have to go out and get the prep books but for right now I am busy studying for psat. :)

Same, I just studying for SAT now…

Btw, is there A LOT of vocab to know for psych?

^Yes, there are tons of vocab words. I’ll say 80% of the test is words you need to know. So I’ve heard.

hmmmm i am guessing it is time to whip out the flashcards anyway

@warlands719 what book are you using to study for the sat I really want to do well on this but there are like 500 sat study books which do you recommend?

Like what Brandi said, I don’t want to cram in April/May for the test, so I’m not going to start studying until December-ish.

Is buying Barron’s book enough, or is it a good idea to get a Psychology book from the library and Barron’s?

^I’m just gonna buy Barrons and prolly get PR. Then after I study those I’ll take practice tests and see where I’m at. If I need more info then i’ll get a real book.

There really is ** absolutely no ** no need to get a textbook for this.

Is what I said sufficient?

Practical: dark knight says Barron’s and Crash Course are the best books. Drop Princeton Review and get Crash Course.

He has reviewed several AP Psych books and they go in this order, from best to worst:

Best: Barron’s and Crash Course
Average: 5 Steps to a 5, Princeton Review
Useless: Kaplan, REA

^Really helpful and informative link! Thanks!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Psych. It was the only AP I self studied for and was definitely my favorite AP subject. The test is definitely the easiest out of the 8 I took. I studied (a lot… a little too much because I loved the content so much) first using David Meyers’ Psych textbook (super cheap here: [Half.com: Psychology by David G. Myers (2006, Hardcover)(9780716764281): David G. Myers: Books](<a href=“Electronics, Cars, Fashion, Collectibles & More | eBay”>Electronics, Cars, Fashion, Collectibles & More | eBay) , great text that is hilarious and so interesting to read) and then used Barron’s to review and take practice tests. Barrons is excellent and the practice tests are almost exactly the same as the real test. I spent a ton of time on psych but you really don’t need to work too hard (compared to other AP tests… but don’t let your guard down) to get a 5. Good luck!

Aight so it looks like barrons and crash course and I’m on my way to a 5? So pretty much just read both these books 3 times and I’m set? THIS IS GREATT
