Self Studying for Calc BC while enrolled in Calc AB

<p>Do you think it would be possible to get a 5 on the BC exam by self-studying the extra materials that aren’t in the AB cirriculum. I have always been an excellent math student (800 on SAT Math II) but my school wouldn’t let me take the BC class.</p>

<p>What would make it impossible? If you study the material well enough obviously you can get a 5.</p>

<p>Edit: Although you would probably have to work ahead in AB</p>

<p>Yeah, definitely. All that’s extra is the basics of parametric equations, and series. The series frq is pretty much the same every year, too, so that should be easy to study. I’d suggest starting the extra topics in early April to be on the safe side. You could also ask your teacher if you have any questions, I’m sure he’d help you out.</p>
