I gave my SAT in December and selected four colleges to send my scores to as part of my free reports. However my score was not as good as i expected and thus i want to give SAT again. If my scores improve and I send them, will my new and improved scores be considered by the colleges or not?

Yes, MOST colleges, if not all, consider January scores, and all of them consider only your best scores. Go to each college’s website and check for more details on sending the scores.

Some colleges even superscore. They take your highest score from each section.
For example, if on your first SAT you got Math: 700, Reading: 780 and Writing: 720 and on the second one you got Math: 770, Reading: 740, and Writing: 730, they’d take the highest Math (770), highest reading (780) and highest writing (730) to give you a superscored SAT of 2280 instead of the 2200 or 2240.
