So my school has Cady Studios take our senior pictures and whatnot. And, like every other high school picture taking company, they like to send you your pictures in some neat package in the mail (that you never asked for).

So Cady Studios sent me my pictures in a nice little portfolio. They wrote that if I didn’t want the pictures, I would have to return them to avoid a $179 charge to the credit card on file.

… except I never paid with my credit card, but in cash. Nor have I ever visited Cady Studios in the past.

So is this supposed to be a gaffe on their part? I’m initiating the return process as we speak since I don’t want the pictures, but I found it interesting.

TL;DR How exactly would Cady Studios charge someone who never paid with a credit card? I’m curious from a business standpoint.

Edit:
From their site FAQ:
“How do I view my senior portrait online if I didn’t register online but paid with cash the day of my pictures?”

So I presume they weren’t supposed to send me a physical copy? lmao
