Senior Schedule, add/delete?

Here is my coming year schedule,

AP Psychology
AP U.S. Government & Politics
Chorus 5
AP Micro/Macro Economics
AP English Lit and Composition
Theatre 4 Honors

I’m wanting to major in Psychology, but I’m not quite sure. The colleges I’m looking at are NYU, Hellenic College (Boston), Flagler College (St. Augustine), I’m still looking at others.

This schedule is fine as long as you have four years of high school math completed. Be sure that you have enough time set aside for the SAT/ACT, college essays, and EC’s.

Hellenic college???
Please calculate your efc and ask your parents for a budget .

Look at Wheaton, MA; Clark; Goucher; Marist; Ithaca; Allegheny; Illinois Wesleyan; Hendrix. Plus your state universities.
Run the net price calculator on all of these.

What state do you live in? What are your stats (GPA, sat/act score?)

You need a math (AP stats? Honors stats? Financial math?) and a foreign language.

@MYOS1634 Foreign language may not be a requirement, as long as OP has taken at least 3 years of it already (since that is what most colleges ask for).

OP, why are you not taking a math class? Nearly all colleges want you in 4 years of math.

Thank you pinklinks! I have 4 years of Math, I ended it all with Pre Cal. Any advice for the ACT/SAT? I can’t afford a tutor, so is there books I can buy or free websites, or maybe apps I can download. TY!

MYOS, I live in St. Augustine FL. I’d really like to get out of here, and try something new. I may have to change one of my classes, if so I will be taking Spanish 3. Thank you for the info!

yonceonhismouth, I’ve taken 4 math classes. My last one was Pre Cal.

Nevertheless, most will want to see a math class senior year. Can you take an evening or weekend statistics or ‘math for social science’ or 'math for humanities ’ class at sjr state? Any chance you could add an intro to philosophy class from sjr state in order to 'fortify’pyr schedule?

What’s your unweighted GPA, your weighted GPA, and sat/act score?
Do you know your efc?
How much can your parents contribute toward your college?

NYU might not be a viable choice if you need financial aid, since you’re out of state. I know UF has a phenomenal psychology program (and any FL universities in general have a very good psychology programs - apparently it’s a popular major in here heh). I suggest you use this search tool to look for colleges; @MYOS1634 has a great list as well.

From what I’ve heard, the most effective strategy for the SAT/ACT is taking practice tests over and over again (alternatively know as the Xiggi Method). There are threads around CC going into detail of how to go about studying using this strategy. I also recommend the app Prep4SAT; I used it for the PSAT and it helped me loads.
