<p>Jan. 19th! for me at least. end of first semester exams. i seriously can’t wait because i’m so tired of school and want to go to college like now</p>

<p>what’s senior slide?</p>
<p>When seniors start officially not caring about school (since midterms are often the last big exam of the year, as most seniors can opt out of finals), letting their grades “slide.” </p>
<p>Hence, “senior slide.”</p>
<p>Here we call it “senioritis”, which I enjoy defining as “inflammation of the senior”.</p>
<p>ah, but some schools do ask for final reports though.</p>
<p>^but it’ll take a lot for them to actually rescind you. like Ds or Es. </p>

<p>I don’t think people on this site are actually going to slide enough to get B’s. Usually overachievers would care to the end, even if they pretend they don’t. My friend (graduated last year, got into MIT) looked like he had a heart attack when he got a B+ in his second semester. The rest of the class were just like “whatever, dude”</p>
<p>I can’t allow myself to slide. I got deferred from Yale and I’m absolutely dying to get in, so I’m planning to stay on top of everything!</p>

<p>my school doesn’t rank! the val and sal aren’t even based on rank. anyone can apply just as long as you have a really good GPA. </p>
<p>and i don’t plan on getting anything below a B. my classes are pretty easy anyway i should be fine, but it will be nice to know that it doesn’t really matter anymore! </p>
<p>one more week of school, then a week of exams, and then i’m done…</p>

<p>I’m definately not going to give up and let my GPA drop especially with the need for scholarships these days.</p>
