The following transcripts have been received:

IGETC xxxxx College xxxxx (Received 06-07-2011)
xxxxxx High School (Received 06-09-2011)

All 6 of mine have been confirmed received on MyTritonLink.

Write to them and if they don’t respond within two-three days, call them. July 15th is the deadline, and unfortunately they don’t make any exceptions: your admission will be subject to cancellation if the deadline isn’t followed.

There have been many cases where other incoming transfer students didn’t get their transcripts in on time (perhaps they sent it, but for some reason the UC didn’t receive it), and then the students were rescinded later in the summer (and their humble appeal letters failed).

This is all based on the fact that the UCs are very unforgiving, unlike some of the even lousiest privates, who actually treat each student as one step higher than a number. At the UCs we students are less than a number – we’re faceless, disposable units.

Could UCSD have received the transcripts but not processed them yet? I’m in the same boat as the OP, they haven’t recieved my igetc, college, and hs transcripts. Looks like I will be calling my CC tomorrow to make sure they were sent out…or get news ones sent.

i honestly would call in to check with your CC that they sent the transcripts. i’d also check with UCSD. basically: nag. nag all you can. documents and paperwork sometimes get “lost” or don’t get processed due to whatever reason. the moment you call, formerly and politely request a massive hunt for said paperwork, & chances are, they’ll suddenly find them. not that they’re ignoring you, per se - but there are a lot of students and a lot of documents to look over. sometimes things just happen.

rofl. well don’t nag so much you tick them off. they have a hard job and they do it all day, all week. like i said: just politely say you’re calling to check up. and be sure to tell them thank you, etcetc. it goes a long way when understanding their end, 'cause they’ll be much more willing to help.

I just sent my highschool an cc trarscripts just now do they have to receive it by the 15th or will they see it was stamped before the 15th and it will still be okay.

I just any it now how long will it yak to get there?

it takes 3-5 business days for things to be sent. processing is a different situation. i’d give it ten days in total from the day you sent it. if it still doesn’t show up, then you should call and check up what’s going on. i would call your high school and your cc in the interim to make sure they send out your transcripts.

i’ve been hearing UCSD is having complications though. so i dunno what’s going on over there. the threads at UCI seem to indicate similar problems.

I have the same problem with UCD…I requested transcripts be sent out on June 2nd and even gave my CC’s admissions office the transcript request form with UCD’s address written on there…and yet it’s now the end of the month and still no signs of transcripts. I even sent out another transcript request via emergency processing last week (since it says that under emergency processing, mailing would take 2 business days) and it still says “application due July 19th” under status.

I could have swore I read that it just has to be sent before 15th, they don’t have to actually arrive by the 15th. It makes absolutely no sense to say they are due by the 15th when they don’t know how long it will take for them to be sent from each different school the transcripts are coming from.

@Little_Duck - you know - that’s what i’m wondering too. especially for a few of the CCs that have just recently finished their semester and can’t send in their transcripts until grades are in, i can see the difficulties of cutting it very close to the deadline. but if you’ve read it somewhere that it’s sent before the 15th: care to share the source?

^ well im in that situation i just finished my semester and grades just came out. i only had the chance to send transcripts yesterday. I also did a rush order just today as well.

Not sure how long the high school one is going to take though, do they really need the high school one as well?

Same boat haha but it’s not ucsd, it’s ucsc. I keep checking to see if they have received my transcripts but nothing I’m a bit worried. Maybe it’s a UC problem. I might do a rush order next week or call my cc and high school

I’m glad I called my community college today. Although they sent out my transcripts last week they put a hold on my IGETC cert because they did not have my HS transcripts (for some reason) which meant they could not give me credit for a forgeign language. What really bothers me is that the lady I talked to on the phone, also the person that filled out my transcripts, never bothered to call me to tell me my IGETC cert was on hold and said they weren’t going to send an incomplete IGETC to UCSD… Originally I told her to send it as partially complete because I had no idea if I would be able to get a hold of my HS transcripts. Immediately after I got off the phone with my CC I called my HS to see if their office was open, which it turned out they were, and I was able to run and get a HS transcript from them and drop it off at my CC all in about an hour and a half. Got to talk to the same person face-to-face that I talked to on the phone and she was really suprised, as was I, that I was able to get my HS transcripts that fast. She told me that she would fill it out right away and get it mailed off my the end of today. At least I officially know that all my stuff has been sent to UCSD.

All I can say is I could have been royally screwed if I hadn’t called to get a status on my transcripts…
