<p>For the party to remember the 9/11 attacks I had there were much much less firemen/policemen who were invited than politicians. Is this true?</p>

<p>And there’s that annoying status going around like, “Firefighters weren’t invited to the ceremony, like they weren’t invited to 9/11”</p>
<p>Yes, they were not invited, they were obligated to go and do their jobs.</p>
<p>^ I didn’t see politicians running into falling buildings to save lives.</p>
<p>Sure, it was their jobs, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that it takes a LOT of courage to risk your life to save others from death.</p>

<p>I don’t see how this event needs a 10th year for commemoration. How long is the celebration of a tragedy going to go for? I would understand a celebration occuring during the 10th and 100th year, but I don’t see any reason for 10 consecutive years of celebrating a tragedy.</p>
<p>It’s hardly a celebration…unless you mean from the terrorists’ point of view lol. I think of it as more of a remembrance which I feel is definitely necessary.</p>
