***SEPTEMBER 2015 ACT DISCUSSION THREAD***

Any ACT practice tests out there?

Any international got writing score yet?

@tan075 @anotherdude have you got yours yet? … oh da** these guys became more annoying when they copied answers in FAQ site

still waiting on a writing score…

How are writing scores still not up yet?!? :((

Dear ACT: Writing scores would be nice…Love, A Senior

Still no writing scores:(

For those of you who’ve received scores…What time of day were your scores posted? And what day of the week? I’m trying to figure out how late they are posting scores.

Is anyone still waiting on MC scores?? As a senior who is applying EA to my top choice I’m frantic :(( When do you get changed from registered to tested? I am from Florida btw

Just got my scores and I am EXTREMELY disappointed :frowning:

22 C

  • 25 Math
  • 18 Reading
  • 22 Science
  • 23 English
  • 24 Writing

Even though I stated earlier from this thread that this ACT was a joy ride, I can’t help but feel stupid after getting my score so I’m contemplating on whether I should retake the December ACT or just apply with these scores. Keep in mind my SAT score is pretty much the same once converted.

Anyone have tips on how to improve my scores?

I used Princeton English and Writing review, Grubber’s, and Barron’s ACT 36 review for the September test, but it seems like it didn’t help me at all.

Dear ACT: Composite scores would be nice…Love, A Senior

Just 13 days left in the early decision deadline and no writing scores out yet. Im screwed up.

For those complaining about having no writing scores… I haven’t gotten my multiple choice back yet.

@sweetcharge I used those same book and they helped me a lot. It also depends on what type of practice you do. Try sitting straight through an entire test, timed and everything to help you get used to the restraints and stamina required. Take practice tests enough so that you feel comfortable with the question types also. Even if you finish a book, redo those tests and go over the ones you missed and thoroughly understand why you missed it. I would consider taking the December ACT if possible, but you should research your schools. If a 22C is good enough for them then go ahead apply with that. If not, take the December one and hopefully by then your score will go up.

@52balletvieta Thank you. And I’m talking to counselor and see what I should do. I don’t know know how to explain it, but I want to take the Dec. ACT but don’t want to study for it ya know? It might seem like a lame excuse, but after the studying a week prior to the Sept one and all the stress i’ve accumulated just from one week, I can only imagine how it’s going to be like studying from now until December. Especially since HS is already in full session.

Anyways, thank you nonetheless. I’ll think about it.

Senior in VA who hasn’t received writing either. I received my MC score about 3 weeks after I took the test. I received a lower score than what I was getting on practice tests. Because of this mess, I asked for my test to be rescored just in case.

ACT system “currently unavailable”… DOES THIS MEAN THEY’RE POSTING A WHOLE BUNCH OF SCORES RIGHT NOW. PLEASE LET IT MEAN THIS.

Lol, I’m getting my SAT score this week. It’s been 5 weeks since I took the September test, and the one of the main reasons I took it is so that I could receive my scores early on and have time to plan. The SAT was in Oct, a little late I thought.
Well the irony is rich, and my whole schedule seems to only go on a downward spiral. I know, they said they want to release writing and comp together, but it’s been so long now. Almost everyone got their composite scores except for a few of us who cringe whenever someone seems to be disappointment with “no writing scores :(”
Well tough luck guys, but you have it easy.

@bread07 Scheuled maintenance.

I hope writing scores come out soon…
