sigh…getting the quality assurance message from 5 weeks now…dont know what to do…and it looks like the october scores will be delayed as well… >:)
i mean…why cant they post the mc scores?whats wrong with that?the essay scores…sure takes time but the mc too?
Wow! Epic Fail!! I am still waiting for these damn scores and some of her colleges won’t accept screenshots. Hope after today they do. Why can’t THEY release the multiple choice score. We have to call all her schools again to see if the colleges changed their policy. What a mess!
I feel very bad for all of you still waiting. I just got my writing scores (composite was released on 9/30). Writing was a 31 with an 11 in every single category. Very tough curve indeed.
@wisteria100 thanks for sharing that article. I am truly outraged by this. I really want to apply to my school of choice as an Early Decision applicant. I fear that If I’m not allowed to apply because of the delayed scores, my chances of being accepted in Regular Decision will decrease dramatically.
What makes this truly ironic is that ACT decides to complicate the essay now, just when colleges have announced that, starting next year, they will no longer require the writing portion of the test. (Of course not all colleges are disregarding it, but it clearly says on the most competitive college websites that, starting with the class of 2021, the writing section will no longer be required. This applies to the SAT as well.)
This is true @Chillkitty, but it does not help the current seniors who need their scores.
yes @heretohelpyou, I know this observation makes no difference to those applying today; I’m merely pointing out ACT’s futile attempt to bolster the essay portion of its test at at time when it is no longer needed. Sorry ACT is screwing you over.
ACT is not “screwing me over,” I m not a student. But I do feel for my students who are seniors and need their scores.
the one thing i dont get though is why they are withholding the mc scores when the problem are the essay scores… :@)
i got a 34 composite but a 26 on the writing. the last time i took the act at school in march i got a 30 on the writing. hopefully, this one writing score won’t hold me back in the application process!!

I got a 10/12 in June and a 20/36 on this one!!! I honestly didn’t think my essay was bad!

@Salutation @HelianthusCaelum Contact the admission department ASAP and let them know what is going on. By now, all the colleges are aware of the situation. My S contacted his first choice (an engineering school that only sees black and white, no grey), and even they are working with him on it. They are going to hold off his deadline date. You might even be able to send a screenshot of what you have thus far. Don’t wait, do it now by email and follow up with a phone call if you don’t hear anything by Monday afternoon. You can do this! You’ve all worked so hard, and these schools will work with you. Hang in there, take a big breathe, and go to it :)>-

and I’ve never taken any SAT so this is the only score that I can send for my EA, and I don’t even know if the score will make it on time
