Niece received her scores today so check your accounts. New issue is that as we all know, the writing score is now extremely low. She is wondering if she should send in an old ACT that she didn’t do as well on just for the higher writing score. She isn’t sure she wants to do that as her other scores are so much lower than September.

Finally got my writing scores. Got a 29 (which is the equivalent to a 10?), so I guess that’s good.

finally got my writing scores…36 on english and reading, 12 on previous act, and a 5 on ap lit yet still received a 29. tough curve!!
if I just got my writing score today, does anyone know how long it takes for my official score report to reach my schools? I registered to have them sent weeks ago.

I feel very bad for those who haven’t received their writing scores yet. By now, I’m sure you all know that not only is the writing taking forever to be scored, but also that the writing curve is brutal.
I went 11/11/11/11 in every domain. My writing score ended up being 31. Very harsh, indeed. On the 2015-2016 Official ACT Practice test, my score would have been a 34.
Finally got my writing score today…24, ouch. Good luck to everyone else
So is a 34 composite but a 20 (7,7,7,7) on the essay still good or do I need to retake in order to be considered for ivies?

@TheIG19 yes you can send those scores without any trouble. Good for you for getting testing done early! As you can see, it saves you from a lot of stressful nights at the deadline.

why can’t i send scores priority to schools for the Nov 1 deadline. ACT only allows the standard which is longer time. though they talk about the priority on the website.
Still haven’t gotten my writing yet Early Action deadlines are approaching quickly and I’ll automatically be deferred to regular for UMich if I don’t get them in by 11/1

So tweeted the ACT folks asking what happens when they don’t deliver scores by Nov6th? Hoping really they’d say “no worries…they’ll be there”…
And this is what they tweeted back…
“Good morning! We’ve contacted college and see there is a variety of preferences. For this reason you should contact them”
So basically admitting scores will not be released by Nov6th?..
