Geez these threads always make me feel dumb.
“i had 15 extra minutes to check answers”
“i got a 34 last time. i really hope i get a 36”
“i wasn’t sure about like 2 questions”
Haha, anyone feel me? xD
I just don’t undertand how can you guys be so sure that you missed x amount of questions. For all you know you could have gotten those right or even more wrong.
I find it funny that ppl are still asking basedchem for score predictions. He/she posted the averages for a reason so use them and make your best judgment!!
73D, I finished with 20 minutes left. I skipped 5 questions the first time through and had the other 55 done in about 30 minutes. Knocked the longer/tougher problems out one by one thereafter. Last time, I didn’t skip tough questions, so I panicked and had to leave 7 blank at the end.
My proctor said 5 minutes left as I was finishing the third passage. I actually panicked this time. Last time, I finished it with about a minute left. It felt very rushed to me this time. Part of it is not knowing how to do the dual passage section efficiently. I read both passages right away, and I think that effected my speed and my ability to recall information from the first passage.
Just registered to talk about the ACT struggles haha
im seeing people complaining about 34,35 or expecting 36…
This is lowering my confidence so much
I am just hoping to break 30’s…
although a 33 would make me really happy
@HelianthusCaelum lol I’m on the same boat as you. But don’t worry, CC is a representation of only a small number of high school students nationwide. Which means that most of the people on this website are top of the best, lol. Just the fact that you’re on this website shows that you are staying on top of your academics. Kudos
The Sept 12th ACT is the second one I’ve ever taken. I took the April ACT this year and scored a 33
33 in English
29 in Math
35 in Reading
33 in Science
11 in Writing
I thought that this test was much harder on the Math section and the last science passage. I had very little time on the last 10 math questions, unfortunately. I really wanted/needed at least a 33 on that section. The science was pretty easy until the last passage for me…I only had 4 minutes to read and answer it all. English was very fair and I expect to go up. Reading was pretty easy but I felt rushed- it’s up in the air. For the record I had 73D.
Last June I took the ACT and scored a 32… I’m just hoping I don’t go down now.
Writing: Easier than expected. Maybe went up to a 36?
Math: The more i think about it, the worse it gets! I will never understand how ACT expects one minute per question on some of these… At least 5 i guessed on. Rough for everyone though. Praying to the curve gods.
Reading: Felt SO rushed! Only had 5 minutes for the double passage but it was alright. 32-34? Please???
Science: Easier by a large factor. Maybe one or two questions wrong but that was because of background knowledge that just wasn’t there haha. 34?
I took my ACT for the first time last Saturday. Who else had 73D?
I thought the English was actually semi-difficult, I’m sure I answered some of the questions stupidly. I didn’t think the math was that difficult, nor was reading or Science. I’m just hoping for a good opening score.
For those of you who took the April 2015 ACT, how do you think the curve of the September ACT will match up in terms of it being easier or harder? The April curve was…
I’m seeing different things about the timing for when we get our scores. Some are saying 10 days, but is that only if you did not do the essay? I understand the essay will take longer to grade, but I’m hoping I get the rest of my scores at the first chance!
