Okay, I am coming out publicly with my secret shame: an addiction to the series Greek.

I love Cappy. I admit it.

Gleeks and Idolistas have their threads. Am I alone in this unhealthy obsession? (What Hulu has done to me…)

We TiVo it & I watch it with all my kids. They ask me what is real (most of the sorority stuff, except we were never allowed in our kitchen) and what is not (the ice sculpture slide).
The morning-after pill episode led to a mature discussion (not always the case in our house) about responsibility…but it does take me back

I am addicted to this show. But rarely admit it. But it does have a feel good quality, and I like many of the messages. Not everything has to be mean and serious. I also think that the characters are surprisingly well drawn. I really like that Beaver and the brainiac whose name I can’t remember right now are sweethearts…

Katherine - she is HI-larious!!

Love it. Some of the evolution has mirrored my own kids as they’ve grown past college into work or professional school. D and I have been watching together since summer of 207 when I recorded the first episodes while she was on study abroad. When she came home, I told her I wanted her to watch this little guilty pleasure with me and she identified herself and sorority sisters with the main female characters in the first five minutes. I don’t know how they’ll wrap it up next week, but based on this week’s episode, I think I’m going to like how they tie it all up in a bow.

Is it over for season or for good?

Next Monday is the series finale.

Bummer
…

Love it so much! So sad to see it go.

I guess admitting the addiction is the first step? I’m almost glad the show will be over so I won’t have to suffer in silent shame any longer :)

I’ll admit it too, we watch it here (D2 and I). Then again right now we’re catching up on the last episode of Hellcats.

I love greek, but I really hate this season. I feel like this whole law-school-going-to-be-done-with-college to oh-nevermind-going-to-be-house-mom to oh-no-really-going-to-grow-up-now thing just seems rushed and contrived, I don’t know why they didn’t find a way to wrap it up last season rather than draw it out with this weirdness. I wonder if they’ll do some sort of a flash forward to law school graduation in the last episode, because it just seems weird that we got to follow Casey to law school only for it to end in the middle of the first year. Weird, weird season. I feel like they could have accomplished most of this season in one episode and had that be the finale rather than leading us into this only to chop it off now. Weird is really the only word I have for it. Those of you who are newer to the series should really rent the earlier seasons, they were great.

I’m so glad to know that I am not alone. I’m so bummed to hear that the show is ending!

I love Beaver and Katherine together. I love Rusty. As I said before, I really love Cappy. :D

This is definitely a very strange point at which to end the show. I can’t imagine how it could possibly be wrapped up in a single episode. Will Cappy graduate? Will KT shut down? Will Omega Chi reform? Will Evan give in to the dark side permanently? Will Rusty ever get a girlfriend who actually suits him and doesn’t leave? Will Dale meet the future Mrs K? What’s really going on with pledge Spidey? Will Beaver become a kindergarten teacher?

The only thing they could really do is show the resolution of many of these things by leaping ahead 5 years or so…

I loved Cappy but I don’t know… I think he has REALLY needed a hair cut the last couple of seasons. XD He’s taken the unwashed look a bit too far for me. It’s a shame Evan is so unlikable.
