I use WEN and love it. My hair is annoyingly dry and frizzy. With WEN, I do not have that problem. My hair is healthier feeling, and more manageable. However, I do notice that when I am at my parents (who have VERY hard NH well water), that my hair pretty much hates all shampoo (even WEN), and I have to leave more of the WEN in my hair as leave in conditioner than I do at home in VA. I also use more of a product like Aveda Brilliant or another hair “oil” product there. Not so much at my place in VA on city water.

I’m somewhat allergic to sulfate. I use Burt’s Bees when I can afford it. You can find it in the “organic” or “natural” section at most beauty stores and even at some grocery stores. Trader Joe’s tends to carry it for cheap(er). Actually, Trader Joe’s is your friend if you’re a college student, period.

Aubrey Organics is a very nice brand in terms of natural ingredients. Pricey, yes, and you have to be careful about the smell of a few of the products. Their Blue Camomile shampoo and conditioner has a nice smell, though. The J.A.Y. shampoo did lovely things for my hair, back when I had more disposable cash. The smell of that one is very desert-y/sage-y, and not traditional for shampoos really. But I liked it okay.

(BTW, they also have some lotions and facial cleansers that just work differently than typical products; I’ve found a few really good ones for me.)

I use DHS Clear Shampoo because I have sensitive skin. I buy it online for about $12 for 16 ounces. Now my W uses it too, because it cleans w/o damage.

“DHS Clear Shampoo is designed for patients with hypersensitive skin who prefer daily hair and scalp cleansing. This rich lathering shampoo cleans and conditions the hair and scalp without harsh detergents while maintaining the skin’s pH level to minimize irritation.”

Target has Aveeno Sulfate free on sale for $4.99. I bought shampoo and conditioner for myself and for D. We both have curly hair (I blow dry mine, she wears it curly), we both like the Aveeno.

OP here. I ended up buying/using the L’Oreal Everpure. Seem good so far, but time will tell.
My bangs (which got the keratin treatment) see just a little “flatter” than I prefer but that might be due to the way I dried/styled them.

I just started using ‘Hair One’ by Sally’s Beauty Supply. I’d recently had a chance to try a friends WEN product and I and my hair liked the concept. The Sally’s was supposed to be a cheaper (and according to some users - a better) product. I picked the formula for color treated hair which is sulfate free. I really like it. It took a bit of time to adjust to the fact that this type of product doesn’t foam…but it does clean my hair nicely and leaves it feeling strong and healthy.

I have been using WEN for the past 2 years and love the product. Hair is healthier, stronger and more manageable. My hair is the frizzy type. I color my hair wiith red highlights and the color seems to last longer. It luxurious to the touch and very creamy. Great for leaving in overnite and shampooing in the morning.

Has anyone tried Ojon Dry Recovery Intensive Hydrating 2 minute mask?
When I was at the dermatologist, one of his fellow doctors, had reviewed products for various magazines. She made a list of ones she liked that wouldn’t cost as much as other high end brands. This was one of the higher end ones but she felt it worked well for dry hair. I like how she was honest about not needing to spend much for the same product that isn’t expensively packaged elsewhere (and many times you get less)

Where can you buy WEN? Sounds like a good product for my DD who has curly hair prone to dryness.

^^I believe only online. I know he has infomercials and it is sold on QVC. I’ ve thought about trying it, but it is expensive and inconvenient to buy. I am now trying the new L’Oreal shampoo/conditioner that I think is trying to compete with WEN. My hair color seems to fade less and I think it is less frizzy.

So glad someone brought this up…taking notes.

I had my first keratin treatment done on my hair 7 weeks ago. I got the ‘express’ treatment…less expensive and less time (still expensive though…$150! so I want it to last) I have been using the l’oreal everpure sulfate free volume shampoo (haven’t gotten the conditioner yet) and Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shampoo (coconut) by Organix, as well as the same brand conditioner. I’ve been alternating the shampoos. Both brands seem fine.

The treatment was supposed to last 8 weeks, and it has. So, I must be caring for it correctly. It is probably going to last a few more weeks.

My hair is naturally wavy, not frizzy…but it is extremely sensitive to humidity, and there is a lot of humidity where I live. I had grown it out from wearing short hair for many years. I had given up on long hair looking good on me and was ready to cut it again. I was spending a lot of time blow drying, flat ironing and then it would go poof. No more.

I can’t believe how great it has looked for weeks, and the time savings. I get so many complements on it and lots of double takes (men). I wish I had known about it before. The one thing that concerns me about it was that it really seems to be a strong chemical and that if done incorrectly, I am sure it could damage your hair terribly. But I am definitely doing it again.

I believe I saw WEN advertised on Sephora? Brown bottle?

You can buy Aveda products on the web for much less. I love the smell of Shampure.
I also use Everpure and Coppola products. And the Argan oil I use is Agadir Argan Oil Hair treatment. Also bought it through Amazon. Great pricing.

WEN is available At wenhaircare.com and QVC.

I would recommend doing a good bit of research on WEN before deciding if it is right for you or a family member. There are many complaints of customer service issues when buying direct from wen, and you will almost always pay less at QVC. The most concerning issue is more then anecdotal reports of hair loss after use. I’m not saying it’s a bad product, just check it out and make up your own mind before you spend what will end up being quite a bit of money. Per bottle the price may not be much more then other salon products, however other salon products don’t require you to use up to 16pumps per application. It’s not inexpensive to use.

I went to CVS to get new shampoo/conditioner. The ones I am using now are not working well. I decided, based on this thread and reviews on Amazon and MakeupAlley, to try EverPure Smooth. CVS has a promotions now, whereby if you buy any 2 L’Oreal Ever*, you get $5 in CVS cash. Also, the EverPure Smooth shampoo and conditioner each have a trial size of EverPure Color Care System shampoo or conditioner attached.

I use Moroccan Oil shampoo, conditioner and the after-shampoo leave in oil and I love it. Not cheap, though.

I had the keratin treatment done in late March and it lasted until a few days ago. I stayed out of chlorine pools and only went into the ocean once. I’ve been using L’Oreal Everpure shampoo and conditioner since I had the keratin treatment applied. I give the keratin and the shampoo/cond a big thumbs-up!

I am glad I’m not doing hair any more, I would hate to be regularly exposed to the levels of formaldehyde in the keratin treatments.
I don’t use the argon oil, but I do use jojoba oil about every month or overnight & wash in the morning.
I also like bar shampoo & have been using [J.R.LIGGETTS Shampoo Bars](http://jrliggett.com/why/ingredients.html), sometimes, I also use Shikai products or Camamu solid shampoo. I really like the bar shampoos, I don’t have to use conditioner after.
I don’t have curly hair although it is wavy when it is long, and I do occasionally co-wash, but just with regular conditioner not with WEN.
