<p>Has anyone seen Gravity yet?
I bought tickets for tomorrow at the Cinerama after a friend saw it accidentally last night at Imax.
( he thought he was in line for the Metallica movie)
He said it was the best movie hes ever seen & I have been waiting a long time for a movie thats even worth leaving my house for, let alone in my top ten.

<p>emeraldkity - too funny. dh says he’ll go see Gravity if I’ll go see Metallica. Actually I think he’s fine with seeing Gravity since he likes Sandra Bullock, but he’s convinced it’s a chickflick in space and/or he’s going to get seasick. I’m actually happy to see Metallica, I like their hits and I’ve never seen them play.</p>

<p>It’s the combo of 3-D and weightlessness - it’s remarkably convincing in my experience. In fact about the only justification for 3-D movies in my opinion. My dh is unfortunately very prone to being bothered by his eyes telling him one thing and inner ear something else. However he does love 3-D so we’ll see.</p>

<p>I can’t watch 3d either, I have to avoid all those movies at Disney. It gives my eyes fits and ends up making me feel nauseous. </p>
<p>My hubby absolutely can’t stand Sandra Bullock, I have no idea why but he wouldn’t consider seeing a movie with her or Julia Roberts in it. I happen to like her so I don’t get it.</p>
<p>We saw Rush last week and absolutely loved it! Even if you are not a racing fan, it is a great 70’s period piece with very good acting. I was pleasantly surprised. </p>
<p>We saw Gravity last night but not in 3D. Maybe that was the problem. Sandra Bullock was fantastic and I’m not usually a fan. The space shots were amazing. But I thought the story was implausible and I hated the ending. We thought the IMAX Hubble 3D movie was better. </p>
<p>Also Prisoners recently. It hit a little too close to home and was a little too creepy for me. </p>
<p>We usually go to about 3 movies a year- I don’t know what is up with all the movies lately. Maybe because our youngest just left for college?</p>

<p>I like how they used 3D to enhance the story but I think if it saw it in IMAX I would’ve appreciated more. </p>
<p>Gravity was one of the first ‘Hollywood’ films I’ve seem lately and I loved it. I thought Sandra Bullock was phenomenal and it is disappointing that she already has an Oscar for her work on The Blind Side. </p>
<p>Yes, most of it was incredibly unrealistic but I think that was what I needed. Space is very much still an unknown thing for us so to see the dangers of it was fascinating. It truly was truly a story about man versus nature.</p>
<p>I saw Rush and thought it was terrific.</p>
<p>Saw Prisoners the other day and thought it was very well done. Jake Gyllenhaal was especially good. The director’s previous film, Incendies, was much tougher to take, but really brilliant.</p>
<p>This movie does a fantastic job of making you really think you are THERE with the characters. It’s like the camera is in space…and moving all around. And one of the characters is struggling with being “space sick” to begin with. And if you see it on imax and sit very close (as we had to do), it’s just an immersive experience. So I imagine if you were really prone to motion sickness, you might have issues. But I suspect you will be so involved in the story…in what is going on… you won’t care.</p>
<p>Really enjoyed Rush in theater last night. Still thinking about it today.</p>
<p>I wish they had cast someone like Ralph Fiennes or Benecio del Toro instead of George Clooney who plays George Clooney. & I like George Clooney- Burn after Reading is one of my favorite movies.
It would have added more depth/pathos to the role.
I like Bullock but her botox was as distracting as Kiera Knightleys teeth.
Why do actors get botox? You need to be able to read their expressions for petes sake!
The music was bad & I had trouble with some other bits of the science.
But I didn’t get a headache & the long lines I anticipated didn’t show up so even though we only got there 40 minutes early, we were first in line.
I am going to stick to tv for a while I guess, I am too hard to please.
I did kinda think that How to tame a dragon might be fun if i had someone to take with me.</p>
<p>I will say the cinematography for gravity was amazing.
Im just grumpy cause it is my birthday and I hoped that my estranged d that I haven’t talked to since xmas would maybe call.:(</p>

<p>I saw a french movie a long ago ,still remember its title ‘’ I want to be a gangster ‘’ though title exhibits that it’s only an action movie but it isn’t ,in contradiction it’s a comedy cum crime drama type but very sensible movie . A must watch for .</p>
