Watching Leverage on DVD. IMO, it’s very fun. I forgive some of the plot “stretches” because I like the premise and the cast so much. I am sorry that it was not renewed.

The acting and writing for The Killing is excellent. I tried Under the Dome - so predictable, cliched. It made me question if Dean Norris could really act. Maybe I thought so because he’s in Breaking Bad.

If you’re in a rather trashy mood, I just watched the last several episodes of this season’s Walking Dead. It’s just one of those shows that you don’t want to watch, and it sucks you in like a soap opera. Plus, I am now highly educated on how to take out zombies.

Continuum is great.

Sherlock!!

Ive been watching Jere Burns & Patton Oswalt from Justified on Burn Notice.
Now if only Margo Martindale or Damon Herriman would show up.

Im also watching Orange is the new Black.Im loving this show with so many strong roles for women.

Homeland, Orange is the New Black. Both are very fond of displaying female bodies but not men’s, but other than that…

Recently started watching Top of the Lake. Very interesting. Great cast.

I can only watch these things on Netflix, HuluPlus, or various websites of questionable legality, though, so I am usually behind the times.

Edit: How could I forget The Newsroom! As S remarked, pure fantasy/wish fulfillment, but I love it.

The White Queen is coming to Starz this week. I watched some because BBC had it first, and if you like The Tudors, The Borgias, etc you will probably enjoy it.

The episodes I saw were OK…chemistry a little off with main love story, but The War of the Roses from the womens point of view is interesting enough to keep me engaged. Based on books by Philippa Gregory.

I know nothing about the law but can see it’s not realistic…Mike would be gone in a New York minute for starters (and by the way, why is every law firm on these shows always on the verge of bankruptcy? They win a big case every week but still just one jump ahead of the creditors). Looks like The Good Wife will have Lockhart Gardner solvent for a least a few weeks of the new season, that’s a change.

I don’t care, I just love Harvey Specter. Oh and I’m pretty sure Prison Break is stretching reality quite a bit as well but I’m still watching it on netflix. Hmmm Wentworth Miller or Gabriel Macht, decisions decisions…

I’ve recently started watching Firefly. It lives up to the hype: I love it. Why was this series cancelled? Inexplicable.

Shameless. I watched the whole 3 seasons already and never got bored of it for a second.

If you liked Firefly, try Dollhouse, another Joss Whedon series.

Firefly people, there’s also Serenity, a movie based on the show.

I think everything Joss Whedon has done is worth watching. We are currently watching Jack Taylor and Irish detective series about a former Garda officer. Very film noirish, story lines are a bit depressing. If you think Jack looks familiar you may have seen him in Game of Thrones or Downton Abbey. :)

My H watches Under the Dome, Continuum, The Bridge and Falling Skies. I watched a couple of episodes but the shows were not interesting to me. I do sit beside him while he watches but I’m busy doing stuff on my laptop. I thought the finale of The Killing was strange. I liked Starz’s The White Queen and the actress who plays Queen Elizabeth is a delight. I’m looking forward to more castle drama since I’m a little tired with all the post-apocalyptic TV series.

^^how can you not find Continuum interesting? I suggest you watch the first episode again, without your laptop to distract you!

I admit I developed a bit of a crush on Jeremy Irons’ son Max :)

Guilty secret…my D roped me into watching Gossip Girl with her this summer. By the end I was actually enjoying it.

Busdriver, I figure Continuum is just a rehash of the Terminator series: people or cylons from the future transport themselves into the present with the intent of changing/protecting the future.

^^Hey, what’s wrong with Terminator? A good concept is still interesting, even reworked, certainly there are no machines in control in Continuum. Maybe I just like series with strong female leads…Linda Hamilton kicks butt!

But just because something is similar, doesn’t mean it’s not worthwhile…ie I’m not going to ignore this bottle of Chateau St Michelle Indian Hills Cab just because it’s another red wine. I still think you’d like a series better if you didn’t even have your laptop or cell phone near you, it’s too easy to not pay attention to the show. My son got me hooked on Dollhouse by stopping the DVD player every time I got up away from the tv, so I couldn’t miss any of it. After awhile, I didn’t want to.

I love Terminator! I also watched Dollhouse because I like Eliza Dushku from Buffy. Sadly, I didn’t like Dollhouse.
