Oh, me, too! Such a great show. Each season, I said, wow, they can never top this group, and yet, they always did. I really wish it would come back. :)

Oh I forgot Copper. Loved that and Boardwalk Empire. BE is pretty gruesome sometimes. Not for the squeamish.

I loved that show - Dustin Hoffman and Dennis Farina were excellent, as was the rest of the cast. It was cancelled because two horses died during filming, which was a real tragedy. The good thing is that it brought to light the conditions under which some horses are raced - I remember a lot of investigative news articles when the show was cancelled.

^ Agree Booklady, We really enjoyed Luck and were disappointed it ended. Dustin Hoffman was so well cast. And Laura Linney was a pleasure to see. Darn!

Some other goodies on this thread. I had completely forgotten how good Justified is after we saw the first two episodes or so. Life got busy and it slipped thru the cracks. Also The Good Wife. Agree, WNP, the clothes are superb!

If anyone likes off beat comedy, I recommend Bored to Death with Ted Dansen. It is canceled after this season, unfortunately, because Dansen has another commitment.

Also the British comedy * IT Crowd * is pretty good.

And Portlandia in small doses. Can only handle a couple episodes before I start sounding and acting like the characters.

Grimm sounds really promising. Will be give that a try.

The Mindy Project!

Just got a DVR (where have I been) and love this thread!
So far we have watched Homeland (loved) and Breaking Bad (also loved). I think watching several episodes at a time really makes a difference in keeping up the pace of the shows.
Big fan of Downton, the new Upstairs/Downstairs, and Midwife. Like others miss In Treatment although thought the last season was the weakest.
Next? The Wire or Game of Thrones I think…

Homeland!!! But I have an agenda. Still watching closely for my TV debut. Haven’t seen myself (in the background) yet. I will keep you posted. :D

This is all purely subjective, and I’m sure someone will tell me it’s terrible, but our entire family loves Suits.

I love Scandal with Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope. The only show that I must see every week. Thursday nights on ABC.

Long time favorites, can’t get enough of Frasier.

Recently saw an ad for Amish Mafia… have to admit, I’m intrigued. Seems like an oxymoron Other than that… I love Downton Abbey, Jan. 6th…Season 3, woo hoo
And Chopped!! Cant forget that, dd, dh, and I love it!

NHCtMom - We’re fans of Scandal as well. I can’t be doing anything else while we watch or I’ll miss something. There are so many little things that matter, and story lines. There are a few characters I’d like to drop-kick right about now, but I guess that’s the point.

^I want to try this Amish Mafia, I saw an ad.
Everything is so boring, news are so progressively boring, repeating the samo, samo, nobody is telling actual truth and you can tell who is pregressively more and more afraid to utter any kind of truthful statement, everybody is turning into rabbits with exception of very few. I would say that one of them is John Stossel (not sure about name). Others more or less went into entertainment business, and they are NOT at proffessional level there, nope, their specialty is news but since they do not have what it takes (primarily courage), they are trying to be entertaining, which they are not, misery land…

Miami… truth is I hope the show is a total farce, just cant imagine there is an Amish Mafia from what I know about them. And yes I agree, media just goes for shock value these days and they keep dialing up the “shock”.

@Blue! Yes, I LOVE LOVE LOVE that show… I can’t get enough and actually watched last weeks episode twice. LOL

I had actually forgotten some things from the first season and went into Netflix and watched the whole 1st season. I did a marathon in one whole night… from 8p-4am I think. LOL I just couldn’t get enough and couldn’t go to sleep until I had watched each and every episode/got all the players right.

I wonder who shot the president? Mellie is something else… I’m not so sure that the baby belongs to the president if you ask me… maybe I’m crazy, but thats just a hunch!

I only turn on the TV for the news and Scandal. So it must be good!

Oh my!! I hadn’t even thought of the possibility that it wasn’t his baby. Ohhhh! I’m so irritated with Cyrus’s husband, James, for sneaking around in Ohio looking at those voting machines. I was sad when Henry Ian Cusick didn’t come back the second season, love him!

Favorite sitcoms: Raising Hope, Ben and Kate, The Middle, Modern Family, Suburgatory, and especially Parks and Recreation. I still watch The Office, but don’t really like it as much as when Steve Carell was on it.

Favorite dramas: The Good Wife, The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Downton Abbey. I also like Rizzoli and Isles and Suits as dramas that are fun to watch.

Favorite reality shows: Chopped, The Next Iron Chef, Giada at Home, The Barefoot Contessa (can you tell I like cooking shows?) :)

@ Blue! I agree. I wondered where he went! I guess he ran off and got “married”? Hmmm we will see about that! James is going to get himself in a whole heep of trouble… and I am sure Cyrus won’t think twice about offing him! Cyrus is all about power & will not have anyone interfere with it! Watching Fitz look at those surveillance pictures was downright painful…poor thing, he has no idea that he stole the election! But when he finds out. But wait, he was shot. Why would Mellie have a part in the assassination of her husband? I don’t get it. She is the devil and I saw it in the first season. All of my gf’s loved her… but I saw through her and didn’t like her from day one. Now they see it and are in agreement with me.

Thursday can’t come quick enough!

I’ve been watching and enjoying a British TV drama from the '90’s on Netflix called A Touch of Frost. It reminds me a bit of Columbo.

NHCtMom - I wonder if we started a thread for the show if we’d be the only one’s posting? We are going to get tossed out of this thread… ;)

DIL got me hooked on Once Upon a Time. Just stange enough to capture my attention. Odd little twists on fairy tales and the quest story. Must mean it will be canceled.
