I stumbled upon Bravo’s The People’s Couch randomly last night and I’m watching it now. It’s a show where people watch … TV shows and they film their reactions. It sounds really dumb but the people are really funny!

Plus it exposes/gives me a sample of potential shows to watch. I’d watch again if it were on.

Ive been watching Drunk History.
Thirty minutes of historical reenactments performed by top flight talent and narrated by inebriated storytellers.

Ema March 16: I’ve started watching Once, but it is rapidly wearing on me. The lead actress seems to have only one expression. But Captain Hook hasn’t shown up yet. :)

The Bletchley Circle returns tonight on PBS - four episodes only, like last year. Last season the ladies solved one case over the four episodes. This season they solve two cases, each lasting two episodes.

^^^ Glad you liked it. We stumbled across Season One last spring. We watched it as a family and everyone enjoyed it, which doesn’t always happen.

Not really a series, but kind of a business reality show. A highly respected old friend of mine tipped me off to “The Profit” on CNBC, which has about 6-7 episodes per season, and has just finished this last season. You can watch it for free online, and it takes about 45 minutes per episode. It airs at 10pm on Tuesdays ordinarily, but I don’t know if they’ll be doing re-runs or not.

The star of the show is Marcus Lemonis, a 40ish entrepreneur who appears to have been a lebanese war orphan adopted by a Greek auto dealer family in Miami back in the early 70’s. Lemonis has made a bunch of money and now goes around on the show to visit small businesses that have offered themselves up as being in need of a fix.

I’ve found it fascinating. Some of it is clearly for consumption, but there is a lot of information in the show. Most of the country works for businesses not completely dissimilar to the ones on the show. YMMV. I’d recommend watching a couple of episodes. If you already have a commercial bent, it probably helps enjoy the show a bit, but I think there is something for everyone.

I’ve been watching a Hulu series called Endgame. With a Sherlockian character who is actually a grandmaster with agoraphobia, who can’t leave the hotel he was staying when he witnessed his fiancées murder.
He makes ends meet by solving other cases ( and having others do his footwork for him)
Engaging characters especially the lead.

Just finished watching the first and second seasons of Vikings on the History channel. Despite the channel, it is a fictional drama, but based on historical characters. It might be one of my favorite shows ever.

I like Vikings also. Not sure how historically accurate it is, but I got a kick out of hearing the monks at Lindisfarne speak Old English. My favorite character is Athelstan, the conflicted slave/Christian priest who finds the pagan Vikings appealing and appalling.

My favorite show on TV is Justified. So sad it’s ending next season. This past season (5) wasn’t the best but had a great ending episode that sets up the final battle between Raylan and Boyd, with Ava in the middle. Just like season 1. Best writing on TV.

I’m really liking The Americans. Matthew Rhys is outstanding.

I love the Vikings. I caught the last couple of episodes of season 1, and was hooked. After the season 2 finale I bought season one and binged watched it this weekend.
