Share TV series you have discovered and love

I wish HBO would finish the series with at least one episode, preferably a really long one. I hate how abruptly it ended.

I liked The Wonder Years a lot. The Goldbergs reminds me of that show.

White Collar…my new favorite…on Netflix

Love Shameless, The Goldbergs, Brooklyn 99, Enlisted.

Started watching The Good Wife one Amazon Prime and I’m already on the second season.

Justified, white collar, suits, psych, house of cards, Sherlock and my favorite Elementary

I’m a White Collar fan (also Sherlock and Elementary). My husband loves to watch TV and when our nest emptied, I thought it prudent to join him. I now watch a fair number of shows with him (though no way can I watch all that he watches) but have found that my TV taste differs from his somewhat. He doesn’t watch either White Collar or Sherlock and I really really like both. No accounting for taste. Ha! 8-|

White Collar has been a favorite since it started here.

JHS, I agree with all you have said about The Goldbergs. I gave each of the new sitcoms this year a chance and this is the only one I still watch. It really is a sweet, little show and I love the home movie clips at the end. And the Philly references.

No, Consolation, not the only one. I’m sure I mentioned the show earlier in this thread, or perhaps another tv thread. I watched it from the start and loved a lot about the show. The entire cast was very good, and Michelle Forbes was a standout in Season 1.

Speaking of Alcatraz, krlilies, that was a show I truly enjoyed and I was disappointed when it ended. I wish that Sarah Jones, the young woman who was the lead in that had been cast in The Blacklist because Megan Boone is, by far, the weakest link on the show.

One show we watch for pure entertainment value is Hawaii Five-O. It is a show that has actually improved each season and has had some interesting guest stars each year. It’s a fun show, beautiful scenery and they occasionally have an excellent story. One example this season was a story about Pearl Harbor which was one of the most poignant shows I’ve seen on episodic network tv.

Am looking forward to the return of Nurse Jackie and Boardwalk Empire.

I like White Collar too. I’m not a big fan of sitcoms. We watch Sherlock, Downton Abbey, Castle, Game of Thrones, Agents of SHIELD, Jack Taylor and Orphan Black. I think that’s all. We’re usually behind since we watch on DVDs or Hulu most of the time, though we recently added TV to FIOS so we actually could watch more directly if we weren’t already so far behind.

Never heard of Jack Taylor, looks good. Will look for it.

D2 was actually an extra on a Castle episode a couple of weeks ago. We’ve never watched it, but of course had to watch that night’s episode. She had a blast filming it; said the Castle crew treats extras really well - a lot of shows don’t do hair and make-up for their extras, but Castle does.

A little bit disappointed with Resurrection premier episode. Too mushy. I was hoping it would be at par with The Returned.

I recently got hooked on Chuck, and how I met your mother

Portlandia is great.
House of Cards too, we’re reading Richard III in my Shakespeare class and my professor told me that it’s based off that play. I watched the first season and part of the second season. Now I know how it will end. :frowning:

@Teriwtt - How fun for your daughter! I like Castle, too.

My top favorites are: Grimm, Justified, Longmire, House of Cards, Elementary, Sherlock & White Collar. DD & I watch the Wednesday line up: The Middle, Suburgatory & Modern Family. We also like the Mindy Project. Everything is on the dvr as we never seem to have the time or are home to watch it live.

Just started watching Once Upon a Time on netflix. It is very clever and addicting. I’m alread on episode 19 and just started a couple of days ago. Give it a try. Also just finished watching the 5 seasons of Leverage. Great show.

I watched Once Upon A Time for a few episodes when it first came out and didn’t like it, then gave it another try a few months ago and now I am absolutely addicted. I don’t know what was wrong with me the first time.

Of course, my raging crush on Captain Hook might have something to do with that. :)) But it’s actually a really great show.

There are some great suggestions here, along with where they’re available.

So happy–both of the series that H & I watch (pretty much the only things we watch on TV) were renewed for another season–Grimm and Sleepy Hollow. Both seem to have developed a loyal following, even tho the Friday Night slot is supposed to be where they put shows before they are discontinued. Grimm seems to be thriving in that time slot and H & I are happily enjoying it together.

I just started watching VICE on HBO. Yes there is a little bit of an agenda but it is nice to see some hard hitting investigative journalism for a change.
