Have discovered Magic City, an original Starz series. Has anyone watched this one? Also, anyone watch Treme? We’re thinking of adding this one to our TV series list.

Yes, I mentioned it on page 1. Great show but, sadly, it is almost finished. A short season of five episodes will conclude the series in 2013.

DH has ordered Magic City. Planning to watch over holiday.

Boy, my shows don’t make others’ lists. Agree about missing Discovery Health shows (retired physician- had my favorites). No HBO so no Game of Thrones except one or two at hotels, will have to try the books (avid sci fi/fantasy reader although also mysteries when I ran out of those in library).

Old British comedies rerun on PBS (both locales moved 6 months ago). Are You Being Served here (different episodes than saw in past). Keeping Up Appearances- H accuses me of being Hyacinth, sigh.

Food channel- now hooked on Diners Drive Ins and Dives. Top Chef, Iron Chef, sometimes Chopped.

House Hunters.

Dancing With the Stars.

H and I watch reruns of Big Bang Theory, plus the new episodes. Sometimes we remeber too much of an episode and turn it off.

Was hooked on Without A Trace reruns and the Ghost something one- it’s nice to watch daily episodes or several in a row while reading a book late at night.Got hooked on Criminal Minds here, occasionally the Mentalist.

I think I lack patience for waiting a whole week for another episode- like to indulge in many at once (also an advantage to reading a scifi or mystery series when you can read a dozen in a row).

Love NCIS, Grimm, Person of Interest, Castle and Rizzoli & Isles (makes Boston look beautiful)

Is Magic City in its first year? I just discovered it and would like to start it from the beginning.

Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition just ended, and I am so sad, but the Dance Moms will be back New Years Day!

wis75 – we enjoy House Hunters !

We got the DVD of Homeland Season 1 for Christmas. Oh, my goodness, it is awesome! H and S used to watch 24 together, and they say it reminds them very much of it. It reminds me of Argo, which left the theaters before I could take my son to it. There is a free weekend of Showtime coming up in a couple of weeks, and our cable On Demand station had episode 1 of season 2 available for viewing. Wow, we are almost ready to subscribe to Showtime now just for it! We’ll get Season 2 on DVD when it comes out, as son will be heading back to college next week. Since we don’t get Showtime, we usually get the DVD of each season of Dexter, which we do a marathon viewing of when son is home on breaks. Now we’ll be doing the same with Homeland.

*Grimm *is actually set in Portland, OR. I like it too. Though I’m done with the girlfriend right now.

Lately I get on a go-back-and-watch-series-I-never-saw kick. I recently watched the first 3 seasons of Big Love. I’d seen the first episode or two and it didn’t grab me but then I went to the 3rd and it did.

OHMomof2, Grimm’s gf played a tiny role in The Artist. I watch Grimm because my H watches it. I don’t know why he likes it.

I thought the pilot of Parks & Rec was too slow, so I didnt watch any more episodes, but over Christmas my 22 yr old made me watch, [his legend precedes him, like lightning precedes thunder](http://vimeo.com/43370815)
She is so excited Nick Offerman is coming to her school after break.
I started with the 2nd season.

I like Grimm’s structure. One story - usually at least loosely based on a fairy tale - that begins and ends in the one episode, but also the ongoing storyline with characters I care about…except the GF…she just annoys me (the character, not the actress, writer’s fault not hers :)).

The Mindy Project on Fox. My D kept telling me to watch it but the name didn’t sound like my kind of thing…am so glad I finally succumbed…it’s a snappy, very funny comedy, along the lines of parks & rec and the office. Can’t wait for the new season so I can add it to my list of Parks & Recreation, The Big Bang Theory, The Middle and Modern Family.

LOVE The Mindy Project!
And I’ve started watching Scandal over my winter break and I’m hooked. Adore Kerry Washington, a brilliant actress and simply gorgeous.

Once Upon a Time.

I very rarely watch TV. I’ve started listening to this at work on Netflix and OMG I’m hooked. I made it through the entire first season in 2 days.

I loved all the Law and Orders. Still like SVU. But I really miss** Law and Order:UK** - set in London it was a neat twist on the formula. I think it was cancelled since it hasn’t appeared since Nov 2011. Still, there are 6 seasons of it out there for anyone who didn’t catch it when it was on.

**Shameless /B is a guilty pleasure. The most dysfunctional but often loveable, always fascinating family ever. Bill Macy is great as the “patriarch”.

Boss…really enjoyed this one about a Chicago politician with a degenerative brain disease…lots of great political and personal drama. Kelsey Grammer stars.

I didn’t expect to like **Nashville **but…I do. Not a huge country music fan and there is always some music but I care about the characters a lot more than I thought I would.

**Justified **returns in just over a week :D

Bowing my head in shame as I spent my week off catching up on Scandal, Revenge and the Good Wife. Suits will be back on in January!!!

D has introduced us to Portlandia. Hilarious.

We spent Christmas in Portland.
Its like being on the set.

Message for Montegut and other fans of The Killing. It will return on AMC on June 2 at 8 for a two hour premiere!
