Share your college application experience

Since most of us are done with applying to colleges, and many of us are done with getting accepted, it might be relieving to talk about our application experiences. Did you get the college that you dreamed of? Did you apply to a score colleges and had nightmares writing essays? Or were you lucky enough to have been accepted in ED? And do you want to enlighten next year’s applicants telling what NOT to do and what DEFINITELY to do?
Lets talk.

what to do - treat SAT II as a mandatory test.

I’d suggest people to go for less no of colleges with better application…there’s no point in applying to some 20 colleges without a decent application and being rejected and moping around … and avoid the 11th hour mess…as far as the SATs and essays are concerned, get on wid ur act as soon as possible like in junior high…and next thing …don’t choose your college based on US NEWS ranking…

yeah… I’d also suggest that you choose your college based on the strength of your favorable major it offers… US NEWS ranking is helpful, but not mandatory. Also, writing a modest and original essay is far better than exaggerating or copying thought some people might have gotten into good colleges with others’ essays; don’t go after stats… count on your own abilities… this is true even in terms of SATs and Financial Aid applications.
