Whole album is excellent. Title song is my favorite, skip to 23:25
Many great new suggestions! @doschicos, I love Portugal. The Man. Going to see them next month. I’m hoping they may get a whole new album out before then. @JHS, I also love The xx. I think they’re pretty popular in the UK. I’m also enjoying all the young women indie music.
Even though I’m not a big EDM fan, I’ve been obsessed with Grimes for the past year. She’s very theatrical. One of her quieter songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsCfufAp2tM
The first time I heard her Genesis played at Nordstrom, I had to ask the sales person who that was. Grimes is very talented.
I’ve been on an alt.country/americana kick for the past few years. A group called American Aquarium (named after a Wilco lyric) came up on my Spotify recommendations and I can’t get enough of them: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=e3sRanO8FgM
Mako - Run For Your Life (Attom Chill Remix)
The winner of the Tiny Desk Contest from 6,000 entries. Original combo of a unique style and storytelling as song. Give it a try. The lead singer, Tarriona “Tank” Bell has a lovely voice and powerful when she gets into it.

p.s. I’d take Bob Boilen’s job in a heartbeat.

…and everything by WIlco – see you all at SolidSound this summer!
I’m fortunate enough to be seeing both this summer, @LBowie.
I’m seeing Tank and the Bangas next month. My D goes to school in NO and has seen them twice.
Lucky, @1or2Musicians. I’d love to see them live but they are nowhere near me - yet.
I like Real Estate:

This is just a dang pretty song.
Also, he’s not new–but not as well known as he should be: everyone should listen to Frank Turner!

Seen him twice in the past year, and listen to him all the time.
@garland – Frank Turner is an amazing musician. Great writer and performer.

Foxygen
Not a group that is new to me, but I am really loving the latest album by the Avett Brothers,. The instrumentals on some of the songs are really beautiful
Big Avett Brothers fan but prefer their earlier stuff. This latest album is an improvement on the two previous ones, IMO, however.
I discovered Frank Turner today…never heard of him before but I kind of like his sound
