Alright, feeling crazy:) I noticed a school portal now was saying we were missing 2 items and freaked out. I clicked on the button to find out what was missing and it is now asking for an acceptance deposit and final high school transcripts. I got kind of excited . . . could that mean an acceptance. Talked myself down, it’s not an acceptance until they tell you it is an acceptance. I’m afraid to call in case it means nothing. Still it was nice to see something new in a portal for a change:)
@echowits, that can’t be a bad sign, for sure. Here’s hoping that official good news comes quickly! My D had a portal update like that, too. I had to go to a weird screen to realize that her status had changed to “Admitted” so that’s why it looked like she was missing pieces of her app. It took almost 2 weeks after I noticed that for the official offer to come in the mail!

@flfather I’ll PM you. I apologize for not sharing specific school information on the boards as so many others are willing to do. My S has asked me not to, but I hope to do so after he has made a final decision.
Is anyone still waiting for answers from UArts? D did a walk in at Unifieds and hasn’t heard anything (other than the request to complete her application, which she has done).
Also–anyone who really digs UArts…can you tell me what you or your student likes about the program?

@2019theatremom I’m waiting on a decision from UArts, too for the DPP program. Interviewed at Chicago Unifieds. I’ve actually only heard from UMich (no) and DePaul (yes), and I applied to sixteen programs. I’m getting a little confused by the slow responses. Thankfully, DePaul was my number one (well, tied with Carnegie, but that’s a long shot for anyone, and I’ll hear back soon enough), so I’m not panicked necessarily, but I WILL feel better when I get my official letter from DePaul instead of just Portal notification.
Yep, bisouu is correct, my D did walk ins for UArts, Montclair and Point Park at LA Unifieds last year. I believe she received the acceptance from UArts in late March after the other unified acceptances.

@HannahMTheatre I called Depaul today to verify because I had reservations about my online acceptance and the really nice lady confirmed my acceptance. Try? Break a leg!
waiting on Purchase, New School, Fordham and RADA; has anyone heard any news?
@newsomert I’ve been at rehearsal for Wizard of Oz all evening and haven’t had a chance to check the mailbox today, but, if there’s still no big envelope in there tonight, I think I’ll take that advice and call tomorrow.
@dennehy we are also waiting to hear from New School. A friend of a friend called and was told they would start making calls this week.
