This is a very competitive package you got there.

Very nice stats you have there. SAT and AP scores are not considered in SHC admissions.

Make sure your teacher letters of Rec are solid and your essays are polished.

Did you submit your app by Nov 30th?

Your high GPA with tough courseload combined with your numerous and varied ECs make you a very solid candidate for the Schreyer Honors College.

yes i did apply by Nov 30th

Okay, then I would say your chances are very good.

what high school do you go to? i’m in southeast pa too.

any other opinions out there? it would be greatly appreciated!!!

bump…

wow your stats are very impressive…assuming they dont only go by gpa and academic things for the honors i think u r in…if its mainly just gpa i would say good chance but not certain

thanks for the input dancingintherain…as mentioned in my original posting and as you probably know, they do not look at SAT, so that is a positive factor. Also, Schreyers looks heavily into your ECs and essays, and I believe this will land me at least a reasonable chance of admission. Thanks for the optimism.

Should be about a month now till the SHC releases the acceptances. With any luck I’ll be orienting you at your FTCAP in May!

haha… thanks cwryan1… I look forward to it!!! just on a side note, ive been in touch with some of the folks at Schreyers and Smeal, and am currently inquiring into an IUG program with Smeal. Schreyers doesn’t think its is possible, but referred me to Smeal who hasnt gotten back to me yet on the matter…do you have any experience or knowledge of anyone or anything pertaining to IUG??? Thanks

No, I am not the person to ask. I do not personally know anyone doing the IUG program.

ahhh well thanks anyway
