Short question about my Study Permit?

Hi,

I’m accepted at Vancouver Island University for a Bachelor’s Degree (4 years!)

However they wrote "September 8,2015 - August 31,2017 on my Acceptance Letter. A Bachelor’s Degree takes 4 years, not 2!

Now I have to write 2017 on my application for the Study Permit…

Is it normal that Universities write only 2 years on an Acceptance Letter? Is it a problem? Can I just extend my Study Permit after 2017? Should I write 2017 on the application or 2019?
(and would it have any impact on the post-graduation work permit…)?
