Okay. 15 hours remaining. Should I apply? I want to major physics, next preference - computer or engineering. I’m looking for a great school that can lead me to opportunities. And I don’t know if I can qualify for aid where the tuition is 40k a year. I have a 1920 sat score with a 740 math (yes it is bad sigh) but in my subject tests I think I will do good in them.

Also, it says that the deadline to send SAT Reasoning score reports is Dec 31 which is passed. Can I put that in my transcripts instead? If I cannot, does no SAT scores lower my chance?

SAT scores in your transcripts don’t count officially, unfortunately. You should probably check RPI’s financial aid policy/history for international students. I’m not familiar with RPI’s application, so I can’t advise you what you should do. If you’re happy with your selection of schools, just relax and try not to think too much =)

I’ve been getting their candidate’s choice thing by email encouraging me to apply too, but when I was looking at the financial aid stuff I wasn’t too convinced. Maybe you should write to the FA office and discuss your case with them, I did this with another school and they told me plain and simple that they had very limited funds for intnls so I knew that even if I applied it would just be waste of my time and money.

Ok. I’m not applying then. The school wasn’t appealing to me to start with. I rather go to BUHK then go to RPI if both admits me. And if only I’m that desperate, after many levels of rejections, first to go is MIT, then UT, UCB, UCLA, UST, 3-4 other canadian universities, HKU, CUHK, Polyu, RIT, City U
