<p>I live in Tennessee, and I can’t decide if I should go to university of Tennessee Knoxville (UTK) or middle tennessee state university (MTSU). I live 45min from MTSU, but I live 2hrs from UTK. I would have to dorm at utk if I went there. My dad is very controlling, so i want to move out…plus im very shy and have no friends here so i feel that a dorm would make it easier for me to make friends. I dont know what i want to major in yet, but i have a few ideas. What do you guys think i should ?docontrolling</p>

<p>There’s been quite a few threads about boarding/commuting in the prep schools section, so it’s not quite the same but worth a look.
Personally I would stay on campus for the better social scene.</p>
