Should I drop out of college? Please help

I’m a linguistics major and I don’t enjoy it at all. I have to force myself to study and I don’t see myself doing anything related to linguistics. I have a 2.0 GPA and am in my second year btw. I thought about changing to psych but I suck at writing papers. I could go to community college, get a degree in a health technology field that would lead to a job, and work part time. Should I just get my bachelors and then go to community college? A ba in linguistics wouldn’t be worth it if I’m getting a job that would need an associates for right??? Is a four year college not being a right fit/other programs not being available at a university a valid reason for dropping out? I’m talking about any four year college not in terms of MY college not being a right fit. I think that maybe I would enjoy studying to be a medical lab tech or something bc I would actually be working towards a goal. Could this be depression if everything seems boring even though idk bc it’s just when it comes to school. I still enjoy doing everything I did in high school.

Anyone in a similar situation? Thank you so much

I’m not sure why you would continue with the BA if you do not plan on using it. Just go to community college if that is what you want to do.

Well, you do need to be trained for something, right? If you think you’d be happy in a health tech field, why not see if any of your gen ed credits are transferable to your local CC? Then begin the process of transferring.

Whatever you do, don’t just stay where you are and be miserable, with a low GPA. That will only make you feel like a failure, which will make it harder for you to find the motivation to do what really interests you.

Four year college is not for everyone, but we do need a skilled work force, which is why I think this country needs more high quality vocational training.

Could I re take some gen eds at CC? I got C’s in bio for example which I would need to apply to the program and would like to get a better grade.
